5:52 you guys have to remember Ted is what they call an unreliable narrator. The whole show is from his perspective and imagination when telling his kids these stories, and because it’s a show, they show it before revealing the real thing. Anybody else’s perspective is what they decide to tell him and him retelling to his kids. They show this in almost every episode. One of my English teachers actually referenced this show when talking about unreliable narrator because it’s such a prime example and it’s a pretty popular thing and not a poem most people haven’t heard of.
