First thing I thought of when watching this episode was the Weight Loss episode and Kevin was purposefully taking the stairs. And now he’s complaining about it.

Kevin being so proud of himself for keeping Oscar’s secret cracks me up.

One of my biggest problems with the Jim/Pam storyline is that Jim buying the house can be played off as romantic and Jim taking the job can be seen as what’s best for their family. And so, it becomes an excusable and justified action and Pam then just needs to get “on board” and she’s seen as unreasonable when she doesn’t immediately give in and make peace. But Jim was not thinking of his family when he accepted the job at Athlead- this was purely something he wanted and went after without considering how it would affect his wife or children. The family angle is the reasoning he came up with after his impulsive decision. That he never treated her as his partner while making these decisions, but expects her to be a partner now is what really irks me. They both have things they need to work on- Pam should have had a conversation with Jim a long time ago about the house purchase. Her bringing it up now indicates it’s something that has bothered her for years. She tends to suppress her discontent for the sake of avoiding conflict too often. She and Jim have such a great bond and understanding for one another that she relies on him to just “know” her feelings- that is not a reasonable expectation. I wish they gave this storyline a lot more time to breathe and be fleshed out (and ditched the dumb Brian drama part of it).

very true. I can see both sides of their issues. You showed the problems and blind spots they both have very well. The Pam Jim story did feel rushed but in the end I'm glad for the actors they got to push their acting chops and show more depth to their characters even if the execution from the writers wasnt the best.
