Appreciate all your comments on S5 E1. This was recorded before that episode went out. You could probably tell when we went further down certain rabbit holes 😂

Dani is at tyrant. Her advisors are constantly working to talk her down from doing what a tyrant does. Sometimes they fail.

Great stuff again, thanks. For me, when i first watched this, no i didn't feel dany was in any danger. - especially from fire, her being a dragon and all that shizz. At the time i'm pretty sure i took it as a "sup, im still in the area, see ya around, and also im massive now"

This is great guys, and such and incredible season! Love it! Love how much you guys get into the episodes and analyse each part! Thanks for the two uploads in two days. Made my new year !

Are you going straight to House of the Dragon after Thrones? You'll get more back story on Dragon taming and riding!

Shout out to Damo for saying Alliser correctly 2 episodes in a row, he finally stopped saying Allister!

This is not my favorite season but there's some great moments. Jon winning Lord Commander is up there I love Sam's speech :) Also love Drogon's visit at the end. With her dragons being her children, I find it very interesting how Drogon seems to be going through his teenage rebellious phase where he leaves the house for the first time, maybe he's been off to dragon college and running a bit wild lol. But he came back when he sensed his mother was in danger just to check on her.....when he saw she was ok he peaced back out again. That's how I read that scene.

Ohhhhh boy this was the most difficult outro yet to hold my tongue. I’m not a big fan of this season but now I am GRIPPED to see how you guys react to it!

TLC

That 10 year old from Bear Island is one of my favorite characters!

What would Littlefinger gain by an alliance with Balon Greyjoy??? The Iron islands are not very valuable - just "a bunch of rocks covered in birdsh*t" - and the Greyjoy's forces have been almost fully decimated by their "adventures" in the North...

Calu

Agree... It was more of a "hey mom, I am still around, just stopping by for no reason, can I leave my laundry here???"... You know, teenagers!!! lol

The Vale has water on 3 sides. If you are in the center of The Vale, by land, North, East, and South only lead to other parts of The Vale. "The Fingers" are the northern part of The Vale. West leads everywhere else. You need to first travel west from The Vale to then travel to the , North, Riverlands, Westerlands, and King's Lands. While still in The Vale. Sansa says "West". Littlefinger says "so far Cersei can't get her hands on you".

dany has no right to call herself a liberator of the slaves while inserting herself over them as their ruler and killing them if they take vengeance against the masters (even while seemingly thinking they were doing it for her) while a crowd of former slaves begs her not to. she hasnt liberated the slaves, shes conquered them, and shes too entitled and solipsistic to recognise it. then at the end she acts like a victim after taking the life of a former slave who loved her and didnt want to return to slavery. thinking back to miri maz durr, this isnt the first evil act of murder dany's done out of being convinced that someone going against her automatically grants her a right to kill them because of course she must be in the right, but this is the point where i would say i really started to dislike her.

Daniel Bedingfield did in fact have at least one hit in the U.S. lol

As a teenage girl, Dany has no room to show weakness or indecision. And really, what has she done to earn the title "dictator" that's any different than Stannis or any of the other many kings of Westeros? Even Ned executed someone who committed a crime. I think Dany is given such a hard time for her decisions compared to the other rulers in the show. She has, despite her circumstances (sold as a broodmare by her brother to a savage who raped her repeatedly to start...) she has shown restraint, a willingness to listen and learn, compassion and empathy which is, again, more than you can say for virtually every other would-be "king."...Sure, Dany's green when it come to how to rule but she's doing a great job relatively. And, to be fair, her only examples have been what she's heard about the Baratheons (who killed her whole family) and Drogo. Idk...I just think you're being too harsh. A lot of people have been in retrospect but watching the seasons as they aired...she was given a lot more credit and respect by the fans. Imagine if she had freed all those slaves and magically everyone lived happily ever after in unity...? That's just not the way the world works. She's doing her best which is better than most of the show's royal characters.

Monarchies that don't have fair laws for the people are almost always tyrannical. She needs to set up lower courts, with her only acting as final arbiter for things they can't settle.
