Ramsay recognises the prowess of Ser Twenty of House Goodmen, underestimate at your own peril...

when you say things like "i dont know if [in this case tyrion + dany, but you've said it a lot for other things too] is in the books or not", do you want us to answer that?

Joe Brown

in the books, robert wanted to send a faceless man after dany. the council talked him out of it on the basis that it would be so much money and it was wiser to just put a hit on her head for any wannabe assassin to go after. littlefinger later remarks to ned that in talking him out of sending a faceless man, the council had done more to help dany than ned had by storming out.

Thanks for addressing my double-standard comment. I still think Dany's the victim of double standards--not just compared to Jon but compared to Stannis and Robert and Ned and Tyrion...people just seem to have higher expectations for her and, despite her doing more good, helping more people, acting in good faith far more frequently, and killing WAY less people, she's somehow getting a bad wrap with you guys. And, like Sansa, she's a victim of a very traumatic childhood/adolescence and basically alone in the world, only she also has this HUGE responsibility and intense scrutiny on her. For the record, I'm not even a Dany stan. I mean, I love her as a character but she's not in my Top 10 in the show even. The feminist in me just sees the way she gets criticized in a show absolutely filled to the brim with actual evil people when she's objectively one of the characters who helps the most people and thinks "man, people really hate ambitious, bossy women..." So I feel like I have to stand up for her. haha If it's not clear, I am LOVING watching this with you guys. It's like my 20th time through the series but your guys' commentary is genuinely so interesting and funny that it's definitely a treat. :) I hope you don't take my above (or past comments) as any kind of sweeping indictment or anything. :)

No worries! I completely get you standing up for her. If it has ever come across that way in our reactions it’s 100% not meant that way. I won’t go over it again as I gave my thoughts on it in the video, but there’s no issue with powerful women here 😊 It’s clear you’re enjoying the reactions, I’m sure you wouldn’t be here if you weren’t 😂 really glad you enjoy the commentary! Thank you for the thought provoking comment and the support, it’s hugely appreciated!

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it but the spikey headed, pasty skinned f##ker is " The Night King" He raised them all. There are 12 generals, all sons of Craster, which makes them brothers of Gilly! I'll upload some videos once you finish season 7!

"That's a lot for a direwolf to know." Not really. Wolves are pack animals. As Ghost has bonded with Jon since birth, he would be very good at picking up on who Jon is close with, and would consider those people a member of his "pack" to be protected. We often (though not always, of course) see this same behavior in dogs.

Hmm Slint defies the Lord Commander so it is acceptable and seen as a good thing for Jon to execute him as a show of force and authority- however it could be considered ultimately a risky or poor decision from Jon considering half of the Night's Watch don't support him. Mossador defies the Queen's orders and murders a man awaiting trial so Danaerys executes him as a show of authority and justice- but this is not seen as good or acceptable. I think there IS a double standard at play there tbh. From my understanding the man on trial is on trial specifically because they did not know for certain if he was the culprit or sole culprit behind the murder of the Unsullied soldier in the brothel- but Mossador confessed to murdering him and the lawful punishment for that is death. Supposedly 3/4 of the people of Meereen (the former slaves) supported Danaerys as Queen but they turned on her for making a difficult decision trying to show the people who do not support her that she is fair. It backfired. I think the two acts are supposed to serve the same purpose to show that both Jon and Danaerys are struggling in their positions of authority, but the way the scenes are portrayed influence how we as the audience feel about them, we don’t really get any reaction from the Night’s Watch as to how they feel about Jon executing Slint, if we did maybe that would change how we think about it.

It is hard to recognize her in the Nun outfit, but maybe if Ted Lasso was giving her biscuits you might recognize the face ;)
