A sudden shock went through my body at the sudden death I went through. More information was given to the remaining members. So that meant Buggy the Clown and an unknown beauty were working together. She was wearing clothes and a hat similar to that of Alvida, maybe she’s a fan?

No, the mace she wielded was the real deal and not a knockoff. She had to be a relative or something. The orange-haired beauty learned about Smoker and I could tell it was the first time she’s heard his name. Smoker is the most well-known marine in the East Blue. So it meant they were criminally lacking information.

The green-haired man I was following was certainly Zoro, another bounty hunter. Was he chasing the straw hats? No big deal he seemed to be missing two of his swords and was lost with no money. The brown-haired boy got into a verbal altercation with Carol. He was young, far too young to be a pirate. His eyes still had that innocence of not ever having to kill before. It made me sad I had him figured out as one of the members of Luffy’s crew.

I hoped he could make it back to his island after I caught Luffy. Both looked young but one would rot in jail for the rest of his life while the other still had a chance. Carol said she wanted the goggles the boy had bought for her father and then ran up to him crying that she wanted them to give to Daddy.

Her father was my biggest rival Daddy the father. Somehow the boy managed to talk himself into a duel with Daddy. I knew how Daddy worked and he’d do his best to scare the boy from being a pirate ever again.

As that happened the golden-haired young man was shocked at something the fisherman had fished up. He inadvertently ended up joining the cooking competition as it would be the prize. He fawned over every girl he saw and I just clicked my tongue before saying to myself. “If a man tries to aim for everything he’s likely to hit nothing.”

I chuckled at how many things fell into place for this crew. It was like they had the best and worst luck at the same time. Zoro walked out of the sword shop with three swords and at just a glance I could tell they were special. As I was about to intervene in his meeting with Luffy I was distracted by Buggy the Clown’s reappearance.

I thought they were going to end up fighting but were just happy they met. That meant that Zoro was a member of his crew as well. The duel took place and I watched just in case I had to intervene as the orange-haired beauty met up with him. Both shouted their names and now I knew they were Nami and Usopp.

Usopp fled from the battle before having the gunshot from his hand. As Daddy tried to convince him to quit being a pirate by bad-mouthing him it steeled his resolve. The boy managed to strike the target from a significant range which I doubt even I could hit with my pistols. I would need my sniper to hit the target at that distance. To do it with a slingshot…

Luffy and Zoro ate a meal next to Buggy and somehow paid for their food with his money. Nami and Usopp met up with the blonde-haired young man as he won the competition. I learned his name, Sanji. Luffy somehow ended up back at the central plaza where Roger was executed.

Something felt off. Like the world knew something important was about to happen. Luffy spoke to the black-haired beauty and it turned out she was Alvida, she just ate a fruit that made her attractive. I watched as he was caught and about to be executed by Buggy which made no difference to me. I would strike the moment he died and claim both their bounties. The sky turned cloudy.

His crew members fought trying to save his life but there was no hope. I dismissed my unnecessary clones to bulk up the body watching the plaza and put more power behind the sniper shot. As I was ready to blow the clown away after he lopped off Luffy’s head my heart raced at his final words.

Not at his final words but at his final actions. He met death head-on with a smile the same way Roger did. My heart raced as I saw what he could have been if he didn’t die. Then the impossible happened. A lightning bolt struck the stage, everyone watched on as the events unfolded.

He stood up, dusted his hat off then acted like nothing happened. Waves of unfelt emotions struck me as I watched the man. The same feelings I got for Roger I was feeling for Monkey D. Luffy. The world was about to be upturned by this new force. The young man had no idea what he was about to bring to the pirate world but I thought, maybe it would be better to join him. If he had a stable hand guiding him we could help clean up the dangerous pirates while also wiping out the corrupt marines.

I couldn’t keep the smile off my face as my apathetic existence now had a goal. I ran towards the straw hats and asked. “Any chance you’re looking for another crew member?” Luffy picked his nose with his pinky. “No way. We don’t need any kids.” I practically fall on my face as I continue to run.

“I’m this small because of my devil fruit.” I poofed a little chibi version of myself into my hands and Luffy looked with stars in his eyes. “Awesome!” Sanji recognized me. “You’re the guy with the multi-multi fruit. One-man army Storm.” I laughed as I didn’t like that nickname.

We continued to run as he asked. “What else can you do? I mean what position will you fill in the crew?” He asked, showing clear interest in what I was capable of.

“Well, I’m a bit of a jack of all on a ship. I can do everything, cook, clean, steer the ship, navigate, be the lookout, scout for enemies, gather information and you get another ship out of the deal. I can be the start of your fleet.”

Luffy thought questioningly. “I don’t like it. Roger didn’t have a fleet when he found the one piece.”

That threw me off before I spoke. “When Roger was the biggest, giant fleets didn’t exist but there were still alliances. If Roger lived there’s no doubt he’d have been forced to make a fleet to protect his areas. One man can’t defend every place he loved and many islands he helped would be burned to the ground without the help of a fleet.”

“Oh here comes Tashigi. Zoro you’re up.” She looked at me confused as I was a bounty hunter running with a group of pirates. Next up was Luffy facing off against Smoker. He told me to run ahead but it was unnecessary. “I’m not even here, this is a clone.” Smoker realized I switched sides and launched a sea prism punch in my direction.

I split into two clones just as the punch was about to land and said. “Nope! Not my fight. Take on Luffy if you win I’ll deal with you then. Sanji stayed close watching but when one of the clones ran towards the docks he followed. “They’re in trouble. I had two of my clones on your boat in case one of you came back and the Marines were there to catch your crew.”

As I ran I said. “And one of my clones was shot down by the Marines as I bought time for them. We need to hurry!”

Luffy and Smoker fought. I should say Smoker billowed his cloud body out and caught him quickly. I split into ten clones before flinging my mini batons at him. He had enough control to dodge most but the one that hit him locked up his body for the moment it needed to deactivate his powers. I yelled as I smirked at Luffy. “You get one freebie. Don’t let him catch you again.” All of my clones were poofed out of existence as Smoker flooded the area in his attack.
