“My devil fruit is called the multi-multi fruit. What most people know is that it lets me make up to 100 versions of myself. That’s what all other users did with it but each clone is weaker than the last. All previous users only scratched the surface on the utility of the fruit though.”
I cloned a version of myself that had the bounty I had just recently claimed from Loguetown and tossed the sack to Nami. She opened it and I could see berries appear in her eyes. “Each of my clones can store an item. With ninety-nine clones that’s ninety-nine potential items. But that also means I can teleport items.”
I formed a clone in my hand that didn’t have an item and was the smallest it possibly could be. Then I tossed him into the air right below the crow’s nest. He puts his hand out and another bigger clone forms from him and steps off casually onto the crow’s nest as my smaller clone poofs. “The uses of my clones have insane variety only really limited by my imagination. I can split myself to avoid blows, as manpower, for information gathering, suicide attacks or to bring out stored items.”
My ship and items on my person were made to be useful at any size. Fully using my hundred clones on my ship would put its fighting power close to that of a galleon. While I patrolled the waters around Loguetown I could defeat a pirate crew and then also take their boats back with me to sell.
I’d say twenty percent of my money was from selling stolen pirate ships. I could easily fully staff four ships with my clones if necessary. Now split the number of ships that have crewmates and even just two or three on each ship I could relay information between them. Leave one or two with each ally fleet to relay messages and two or three to work as saboteurs on enemy crews and you can see how overpowered this fruit is.
Some of the items I have are for very niche situations. I have a set of lock picks and handcuff keys, a few with different lengths of rope, and several containers with items stored. The duplication effect of my powers was extremely strong and underutilized by the previous owners of the devil fruit.
“I can duplicate any items on the original me with my clones but the items disappear when the clone is poofed.” To show what I mean I spawn a few clones and begin to juggle the sea prism batons between them. An unlucky clone gets struck and is instantly poofed. It showed that if I was struck by a seastone or a clone hit the water it would only poof that one.
The two sea prism batons, all my weapons, and other items would shrink down to the size of the clone created and still be usable. It made dealing with logia users much easier because I could pelt the battlefield with the mini sea prism batons or special bullets and if a single touched them it would deactivate their powers.
As the first mission I was going to participate in since joining the crew, I planned for several possible things that could happen. I didn’t plan for my captain to completely ignore what I said to eat and drink the poisoned food. Everyone else played along but in just a few hours Luffy was out like a light. I left most of my clones to watch the ships and scout the perimeter of the island.
A knife pierced one of my clones… Interesting to see what killed him. I wouldn’t have expected them to be here. My clones started to shift in that direction. Until the Navy found out about me joining the straw hats it was better to collect the bounties.
Alvida and the Buggy pirates defended against the waves of enemies assaulting them but like the ocean wearing down the shore, I quickly knocked out most. With thirty clones on each side to form a pincer attack they didn’t have anywhere to hide. Even the ones on the ship who thought they were safe were sniped by my clones in the trees.
The bigger threats were still awake. I couldn’t pin down Buggy as his body floated around the battlefield. I hadn’t expected them to flee.
They left leaving behind all of the unconscious members and Alvida. Slowly I continued to whittle her down as I figured out her devil fruit powers. Any attacks made without using a sea stone led to the attacks just slipping off. It meant I had to break out the special rounds to beat her. All of my clones at once pulled a sealed box from their pocket and opened it revealing sea prism bullets.
This was a type of ammunition I designed myself. Because of the material, it was like shooting gold. That would be if I used actual ammo and not the duplicated ones all of my clones had on them. Ten clones shoot at a time, as tiny as the bullets are they would still sting and leave behind welts if not pierce the skin a tiny amount.
I felt bad for ruining such beautiful skin but I had learned my lesson one too many times with going easy on beauties. Slowly she was worn down until she dropped her mace. A dozen nets hit her all at once as I was making sure she couldn’t overpower her constraints. Slowly I dragged her back without anyone else noticing.
The crew had their own problems to deal with as they fought the bounty hunters on the island. Four, no, five other members of Baroque Works members showed up. Two were chasing the first two on the island while the last one snuck around to watch. She met two little animals and by then I finally recognized her. With a smile on my face, I couldn’t wait to greet an old friend.
The two who showed up first were the two inside the whale. They were attacked by the newcomers, I think I recognized them from their bounty posters. I summoned the clone with all the bounty posters and went through them quickly. Yep, Gem the Border is worth 10 million, and Mikita is worth 7.5 million. With Alvida’s 5 million bounty they were a drop in the bucket compared to my funds. Still, a bucket can be filled one drop at a time.
I waited for the crew to deal with them before my cleanup crew showed up to collect the spoils. The member they were trying to kill was the princess Nefertari Vivi. Nami was making a deal with her and I decided to butt in. “Hold your horses. A billion is a bit much don’t you think? How about 500 million and a devil fruit instead?”
