Look at the tags! What if James Potter had an older brother? What if that brother was Slytherin? What if he fought against Lord Voldemort? What if there was someone almost as evil as Voldemort fighting and killing the Death Eaters? How would that change the story? From the very beginning, the story would be dramatically different. This is something out of my wheelhouse but still like an earworm, I kept thinking about fixing plotholes in Harry Potter.

Why does everyone learn potions? No seriously, imagine if every single person learned blacksmithing in school when there were five blacksmith jobs in all of England. Why did no Slytherins at all fight against Voldemort and if that was the case why wasn’t it done away with if all of them were evil? Why does the magic school suck ass at teaching magic?

Classes are an hour and a half long and it won’t cause attention problems? Kids can’t even focus for forty-five minutes let alone twice that length. 90% of their teachers are extremely bad at their jobs and only one of them has the excuse of being a spy. A spy who’s very bad at his job and constantly antagonizes the person he’s supposed to be spying on.

This is going to have cheating, adultery, and NTR which I personally am not a fan of but I’m trying to write things outside of my comfort zone. Slight hints that some of the relationships started out not so consensual but developed over the years. Besides the heavy smut it will be lighthearted ‘What’s Harry up to in school?’ sort of chapters. 

It will swap from Tommy Potter’s PoV to Harry’s fairly regularly. This is a heavy alternate reality to what’s shown in the books or movies. The moment starts out with Harry being happy and a somewhat competent wizard before he even heads to Hogwarts. Different focus on learning how to cast spells more effectively than before. Silent casting should be the end goal for most spells, while some of the easier ones are silent and wandless.

The main character is Slytherin but he also doesn’t prescribe to many of the dumb things they believe. He often deals with muggles and because of that is surprisingly rich inside and outside the magical world. He’s nice to his friends but goes as hard as Voldemort towards his enemies.

This is going to be much shorter with huge time skips. An entire year can go by in ten or twenty chapters. Harry will be a secondary protagonist but don't expect any sex scenes involving him for the first five or six years.

Also, my knowledge of Harry Potter is pretty outdated and probably pretty mixed up with other fanfics so if I assume something or forget something that's why. Probably will reread the books or rewatch the movies if this story catches on to refresh me before I start writing a lot of it. I was trying to think of the Death Eaters and needed to look at a list because I forgot most of them.

While the protagonist does have a tendency to do evil it's only towards his enemies. He won't be fucking everyone's wives, just his enemies. His is evil towards evil and good towards good. His connections with the muggle world will be used to solve problems that would come up for problems outside of the school. There will be a lot of Harry Potter going through school in one chapter then immediately cut to the uncle having sex with someone in the next.
