I woke up in the same hotel I fell asleep in. It took me a moment to realize I wasn’t in bed and was still fully clothed. There was a crick in my neck and I looked around trying to figure out what happened. Did I faint? No, I was a huge man and wasn’t tired. I had never fainted in my life and was in the middle of talking with my friends on the computer before… Oh shit, I jumped on Discord to see that everyone was still inside. What!? Shouldn’t Dave be at work by now?

I queued up my mic and asked. “Yo, what happened?” I sat down and flipped through seeing the victory screen on the league game. Woah, even with me passing out we somehow won the match, that’s crazy. They must have gone full tryhard to pull that off. We were down in gold as well, I mainly focused on towers instead of kills because we were behind.

I wiped off the sweat on my forehead and my runny nose as I looked down and saw it was blood. Oh, alright then. I stuffed my nose with toilet paper before I asked again. “Anyone there? Rick you know where Tera is?” Rick didn’t respond which was very irregular. If he was on then he was at his computer. The few times he went afk he would go into the afk channel. What the hell happened?

I decided to ignore it for now. As I rotated my neck trying to stretch out the sore muscles I decided to take a quick shower. I was in a hotel at the moment. My boss sent me to New York to deal with a client. I had already talked with them and was just waiting for tomorrow to head back to Pennsylvania. I was in the middle of washing my hair when I got a message noise. Ding!

“What!?” Did I have my phone next to my head? What the hell was that? I washed my hair and rinsed my face before opening my eyes.

Huh, I wonder why my charisma was higher than my other stats. ‘How were the stats calculated’ I almost whispered to myself but the box spoke an answer to my question. “Stats are based on the individual abilities of a person. Charisma is the only stat that isn’t improved by eating sources but is a bonus stat gained from the breeding system.”

What!? That’s crazy. I asked out loud again. “So I’m twenty-five percent more attractive than I was earlier?” The voice didn’t speak immediately instead taking a second to calibrate the perfect answer. “Stats are unique to every person. One strength to you is going to be far different compared to a child with one strength. You aren’t exactly twenty-five percent more attractive but you are more likely to be attractive to other women.”

She continued. “If you were to ask a hundred women to sleep with you. And ten responded positively with eighty responding neutral and ten responding negatively. The two-point five change to charisma might do nothing, it might make fifteen of the neutral women flip to positive or it might make five more negative. It’s all subjective to the person but in most cases yes. You are more attractive to the opposite sex the higher your charisma goes up.”

The system didn’t tell him it would also make him more attractive to other people(which was everyone on Earth) with the system. I wasn’t very attractive in most sense of the word. Five foot six and two hundred and fifty pounds. The only good thing I had was my handsome face which looked like Clint Eastwood when he was young. I hadn’t realized the facial scarring I received as a child that made me self-conscious was cured by the system.

The system had made changes to anyone not converted curing any problems in their body. Cancer, Alzheimer's, and many other diseases and viruses were all but eliminated. The system mentioned something about zombies and surviving the initial phase. I said out loud. “Open beginner bundle.” As I did a box appeared in front of me.

The box poofed out of existence as I pulled the wrapping and left behind a pair of gloves, an army MRE ration, and a wooden baseball bat. I knew that the first to take action was the one who would end up on top so as I exited the bathroom and put on clothes I flipped through the other options on the menu.

Powers

Storage: 5 cubic feet: add another storage source to expand

Magic: Light, Spark, Clean: add another magic source to expand

Enhanced reflexes: Increases reaction speed by fifty percent: add another reflex source to expand

Those seemed fine. I wasn’t aware that most people didn’t have a single power yet and I was only given three because of my system. I clicked over at the magic tab next.

Light- Produce a source of light for one, eight, or twenty-four hours. Can only produce one light source at a time. Producing another will extinguish the previous source.

Spark- Produce a small spark of flames to start a fire on flammable material. One use per minute.

Clean- Clean an object, person, or area. The time between castings is affected by the size of the item cleaned.

Pretty basic magic. I cast the clean spell on the bed and watched it make itself. I knew instinctively that it would take another five minutes to be usable again and if I cleaned the entire small room it would take forty-three minutes. I clicked the system next.
