I was keeping tabs on all the groups as they began to work. Luffy ran straight into the fighting giants, Zoro ended up dropping his goal of scouting the ship and killed a giant dinosaur while Nami and Sanji were still on their way for the scouting mission. I found the people though and was guiding them towards the giants so that Nami would have free reign to rob their ship.
Luffy had somehow made friends with the giants already, which was kind of insane but something I was growing more accustomed to as we traveled. He punched a whale into befriending him, ate poisoned food knowingly, and immediately ran off in the most dangerous direction and easily made friends with giants. His straightforward personality and sheer luck endear him to people while avoiding the dangers of misjudging the situation.
My clones got a better look at the other ship's crew. It was a man with greased-down hair and a single strand sticking up, his hair forming the number three above his head. Beside him is a younger woman, I could tell she was older than she appeared but it wasn’t by much, her malnourished body keeping her small but if I were to guess her age I’d put her at sixteen.
She had an easel and canvas on her back as they made their way towards the giants. I can ignore them for now as it’ll take them a half hour to make it there. After completely exploring the island I pull back twenty-four million berries worth of treasure from all the camps of corpses around the island. No luck finding another devil fruit even though the island is loaded with fruit trees. After loading up the boat with the treasure and produce, I begin operation ‘tame the bird’.
I prepare a lot of food at first, they have only been fed the bare minimum as prisoners. After eating their fill I start to prepare higher quality foods that take longer to cook. In that time Zoro and Vivi kill a gigantic dinosaur and start to bring it back but so does Sanji and I start to dismantle the one he kills while they head towards the enemy ship.
They make it on board just as I finish looting everything of value and putting it on the ship deck, another ten million berries, a few maps, a den den mushi, and two eternal poses. One looks to be for this island, and the other must be for Arabasta. As if they timed it the phone started ringing when Sanji and Nami made it onto the boat.
Sanji signaled for Nami to be quiet as he bluffed the person on the other line, saying that he was a member of the crew. I feed Sanji lines to further deceive him as we try to milk as much information out of Crocodile as possible before he finally catches on. The den den mushi lights down as the pair is destroyed when Crocodile realizes who he is talking to.
All the groups converge towards the giants all at once as I wait to see what the two members are going to do. After a short period, Mr. 3 tries to poison the barrel but even without my help he’s caught as it’s out in the open and he is wearing eye-catching clothes. The giants ask who that is before he starts flinging wax everywhere as he runs away.
Luffy looking for a fight followed behind him and Usopp chased as well. With it being already completely unfair, I let them handle the fight, even when Luffy and Usopp were hypnotized. At least Luffy was while Usopp fell into another trap as he tried to wake Luffy up. Luffy destroys the machine that is turning them into wax statues which only speeds up the process. He is about to completely destroy it but the little girl starts hypnotizing him again. Finally, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Vivi show up and handle the pair.
The little girl tries to hypnotize Nami and Vivi but they move too fast and spank her thinking she’s a much younger girl. Mr. 3 ran off and somehow Luffy predicted which one was the real one even before I could tell him and knocked him out. It was at that time that my original ship with Alvida and the other Baroque works members were on arrival.
Mr. 5 convinces the two to wait on our ship until after the fight to see where the cards fall and if we’ll win or lose. The six, Mr. 3, Mr. 5, Miss Valentine, Miss Golden Week, Mr. 13, and Miss Friday all decide to wait and see if we’ll win before they side with us which allows them to take a short vacation. We have a short party where I fish and help Sanji cook up some of the meat, fish, and fruits we gathered before we set off.

The final island where me and Igaram headed to draw attention was Nanimonai. It was a set of uninhabited islands but that didn’t mean there weren’t other ships on the island waiting for their log poses to change. A sort of lawless merchant bazaar sprung up in the process as many ships were hawking wares from all across the seas. Foods specific to the West Blue, clothes from the North, someone was even trying to sell himself as his ship was sunk in a previous attack and he just wanted off the islands.
The man was odd, to say the least, he had only been stranded on the island for a few days but looked like he had been starved for months. Even if you ignored the fact that the man was emaciated, he also had several bottles of alcohol scattered around him and he was asking for help with slurred speech. I just couldn’t trust him until Igaram recognized him.
“That’s one of the commanders of our royal guard. He was kicked out a few months back because he was found plotting against the king. He held firm that he was innocent until the end and I didn’t find out until recently that it was a ploy from Baroque works to remove someone with a devil fruit from protecting the king. The last I heard he joined them and was making his way up the ranks but that looks to be the end of that goal with him stuck here.”
I thought it over again and knew what my captain would want me to do. The man was tall but very skinny, he had black hair almost shoulder length and a five o’clock shadow. On one side were two rusted swords and a half dozen daggers. A spear, half spear, and another dozen daggers on the other. His clothes were shabby and he looked completely defeated, like his life goal had been lost and he was just living for the sake of living now.
I off-handedly asked Igaram. “What’s his devil fruit?” He tilted his head in my direction before whispering so he wasn’t overheard. “The boomerang fruit.” A group of pirates started to bother him thinking they could steal the last bottle of booze he had or perhaps even sell him into slavery. The first man who swung at the man still sitting down missed. The guard rolled back and landed a strike of his own in the process. It was at that moment that the fight really began.
Eleven against one. I was going to step in before Igaram stopped me. “No, if he’s still as good as he was, you won’t need to help.” He was completely right and his fighting style was insane. Four daggers were thrown out haphazardly with almost no aim at hitting any of them as they approached, the group thinking the man had poor aim until the thrown daggers reached the apex of their flight and started heading back. Every single one landed perfectly in the back of an enemy. I couldn’t help but whistle impressed as the rest of the pirates fled from the fight, cutting their losses.
