Konoha… Uchiha compound…

Fugaku had taken to retirement better than most Hokage who quit. With his position as clan head and Hokage, the Uchiha went through a renaissance. The Uchiha were just richer, more skilled, and happier than they had ever been before. Most bore smiles on their faces as they went about their day. None of them knew that the worst was about to happen as a beautiful Uchiha man made his way through their territory.

Little Uchiha children ran as they played a game of tag, one smacking into his leg as the man only looked down for a second, revealing his rinnegan to the child who ran away from fright. The man kept making his way to the center of the Uchiha territory, and the child was the only one who seemed to notice him. It happened so fast, from one moment of a normal, peaceful day to the next, where trees sprung from the ground, destroying houses as a new forest appeared in Konoha.

Dozens of ninjas died, and hundreds, if not thousands, of civilians were slain as their houses fell apart around them. A sixty-meter-tall behemoth of a susanoo formed as the wood wrapped itself around it, forming wooden armor. The wood also formed four extra arms, which all held different weapons. The man spoke quietly, yet every single Uchiha could hear him clearly. “My name is Madara Uchiha, and I’m here to teach you all a lesson.”

With that, the giant chakra construct began to rampage.

At the same time, in the Uzumaki compound… 

A man entered the compound without detected intrusion, proving he was an Uzumaki. Making his way toward the center, he was far more fearful of interacting with anyone, so he drew far more attention. The man's raggedy red hair and unkempt appearance made him appear more like a vagabond than one of the strongest shinobi on the planet.

People did notice him and moved to avoid him. His uneven breathing and dilated eyes showed clear signs of mental stress, stress for what he was about to do. He kept scratching his face or hugging his arm with the other as his heart pounded in his chest. The man paused for only a moment before red chakra poured out of him.

The man was almost crying at what he was about to do, but he had to, otherwise his perfect life would be ruined, stolen from him by his teacher. With a voice that cracked from what he was about to do, the boy cried out. “I… AM FEAR… SO FEAR ME AND RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!” The man gave himself fully to the jinchuriki in his body as seven tails formed behind him, and his body started producing blinding powder naturally.

The Hyuga went about their normal lives. A Hyuga food stall owner yelled out at passerbys, trying to convince them to buy a hotdog, while on the opposite end of the street, a beautifully dressed maid handed out fliers for the new maid cafe that would be opening in the next few days. Adolescent boys giggled while looking at a wall, using their x-ray vision to see something they probably shouldn’t as a group of shinobi jogged through the streets training. 

Two large-scale explosions ring out from different areas of the village. People instinctively flinch at the explosions before some start to move toward them in an attempt to figure out what is happening. No one really panics until a large creature flies overhead before explosive tags begin to rain down. The strafing run by the large paper pigeon blowing up those unlucky enough to not get out of the main roadway before it was too late.

On the opposite end, a smaller, harder-to-notice creature flew. Except it wasn’t a creature, but a woman with two paper wings sticking from her back as she rained down tags from the opposite end. Only seconds had passed; the two figures in the air hadn’t even made it to each other before the bird exploded. Its body was ripped apart by an object flung at a speed that made it invisible to most people. 

The woman moved as her bird was destroyed, and that was the only reason she wasn’t slain outright by the human-sized arrow fired at her. She only lost an arm, her body plummeted toward the ground, her consciousness gone from the sudden shock her body went through having her arm ripped from her body. Before she hit, a white creature appeared from the ground, moving through it like water, and caught her as they both sank back into the ground.

The Hyuga who shot her down squinted as the two puppets began to shift out of their battle mode. The puppets shrinking and collapsing into a backpack before she picked it up and ran toward the largest explosion, which was in the Uchiha territory.

A man made his way confidently into the Ryuchi section of the village. He was prepared to cause mayhem quickly and get out. The Ryuchi were dangerous, but the main reason they were dangerous was now dead. He smirked as he got as close to the center as he possibly could, his body containing two kekkei genkai that were only just recently unlocked from the special method their leader used to strengthen his bloodline.

His plan was to unleash ice release to tear the houses apart before using boil release to flood the entire Ryuchi section of the village with water hot enough to melt the skin off anyone who touched it. That isn’t what happens. As the man goes to use his first large-scale attack, a hidden fuinjutsu formation lights up underground and begins to counter his chakra.

The part of the formation that lights up was designed to use the chakra from the own person to strengthen the formation's defenses. One moment, the man is channeling water and wind chakra to make ice pillars to destroy homes; the next, the formation disrupts his chakra before it starts to drain him rapidly. He has enough time to realize something went wrong before he passes out.

The alert signal and explosions happening in other parts of the village were the only reason anyone knew something bad was about to happen in their territory. A blue-haired woman, who was just one of Orochi’s many children, walked casually toward the unconscious man. Placing her hand on the man, fuinjutsu seals began to spread over his body as only his head was left exposed, the paper sealing his chakra and binding his body at the same time. She picked him up effortlessly as she made her way to the torture and interrogation building before she got back to reading the newest chapter of her josei romance manga.
