This was the worst. I spent all this time protecting Earth, then when the biggest threat Earth has ever faced decided to show up, I almost died from a heart virus I picked up on Namek. The only way I could make sure I was able to be revived is by having Goku kill me before the virus could… And now I had to watch him and the rest of the idiots fumble around and muck things up.

The Androids they were facing were strong, very strong, but also hard to track down. They couldn’t be sensed, but each fought on par with Goku and Vegeta. Apparently, the remnants of the Red Ribbon Army showed up and wanted revenge on Goku after he killed one of the Red Ribbon scientists' children. The androids he made weren’t really androids, but more along the line of cyborgs, but the line started from pure robotic parts, hence the android moniker.

This was all from context clues and piecing together the story after the fact. The original creator of the androids was slain by the androids. Now, only the code that was left in them to kill Goku was left and forcing them to chase him down. Goku and Vegeta had lost terribly, and it was only the fact that everyone could teleport that they managed to get away without any casualties.

The wish was unfortunately still on cooldown from my last wish to make me and my children Saiyans, and also Piccolo felt the same feeling I did. He would never admit it, but sitting on the sidelines and not being able to help protect your friends is one of the worst feelings you can have. That was why he convinced Kami to fuse with him again, and why Goku was looking for Namek again to find a replacement god.

It could have been Castanet, but Kami didn’t agree to it for the sole purpose of loneliness. Piccolo would make a great uncle, but Kami didn’t want his son raised without the connection to his people that they both lacked. Which was fair. Castanet was shaping up to be a brilliant fighter, but also a bit of a loner like his second father, Piccolo.

Having two biological dads had to be weird, but they were technically the same person… Well, the good side and the reincarnation of the evil side born from his own father… Namekians were weird. Watching the entire situation go down from heaven was awful. I just grew strong enough to help, to be the strongest Z-Fighter, and now I’m sidelined the moment I am.

At least the two, now three androids, weren’t hard on the eyes. All three of them were, in fact, extremely beautiful. The black and blonde-haired women had to be twin sisters, and the redhead wearing a scientist's lab coat just appeared to be along for the ride and hadn’t done any of the fighting.

The singular reason all females were chosen was for me. Doctor Gero knew I would go easier on women, and because of that, he only made female cyborgs. He was right, but it was also why he was dead right now, as cyborgs were harder to control than androids. Goku and Vegeta were rapidly growing stronger under the threat of the destruction of Earth, but the androids didn’t really want to kill Earth, just Goku.

I watched as pieces finally came together, and the dragonballs were put into play again. This time, their construction was done by two Namekians at once. It was an unorthodox method, but at the end of the day, we’d get a stronger dragon out of the deal, so I was fine with it.

A lot of the Namekian techniques were taboo for similar reasons, it seemed, a way to limit their own strength, which was perhaps why they let themselves die to a drout instead of fusing, which would have reduced their numbers and made their entire race stronger in the process.

As a Namekian not raised around other Namekians, and a Namekian who saw what being a slave to traditions did to his people when Frieza showed up, Castanet and Dende didn’t have such a strong love for the Namekian techniques they were told to hold sacred. If worst did come to worst, I had no doubt they’d also fuse to make a stronger guardian, but for now, their combining their strength to make a dragon put it on par, if not even better than the Namekian dragon.

We got three wishes now, every six months rather than once a year, and there weren’t as many rules involving them as before. I was quickly revived, and the fighting that should have taken place right after my revival didn’t take place. Another android rolled into the mix, which was the real reason Piccolo and Kami fused, and was wreaking havoc on the environment.

Goku and Vegeta went into the hyperbolic time chamber, which should have been a good thing, but Vegeta came out heavily pregnant, thus couldn’t fight. It was only pure luck that King Kai managed to keep track of the androids; otherwise, the green bug monstergirl would have killed at least one of them. I made it just in time, cutting the bug’s tail off just as she jabbed it into the black haired twin.

The creature was a failsafe in case of Doctor Gero’s demise. It was the culmination of his research, and its sole goal was the absorb power through consuming other lifeforms, with it being able to obtain perfection by absorbing the three women androids. I couldn’t have that. As it prepared to escape and try again another time, it began to use a solar flare, except it had forgotten one extremely important thing.

I was wearing glasses. It flew down, trying to absorb one of the girls while we were blinded, but I cut it off before it could, slamming into its back, which would have killed it if it were a human. The bug girl was just a step too far out of my comfort zone as well, so I didn’t fall into my normal trap. If the creature could have absorbed the women and become more feminine, I might have had a problem, but as the creature was, I didn’t hold back.

Relentlessly fighting and decimating the creature, only as it put its hand on its forehead in the same way Goku had to teleport away, did I know I had to kill it right now before it could get away. I tried something that maybe I shouldn’t have, and wrapped the bug-girl in my divine essence to attempt to stop her. Instead of stopping her teleportation, I’m teleported along with her.

She brought us into a lab, we made eye contact through the entire process, and I couldn’t believe what just happened. She looked shocked, but I could see something else; that bug face wasn’t really hers, but more of a mask. All the bulky parts of her were actually armor, not part of her. She pulled off her crown-like helmet, unveiling pristine white hair; the mask came off, revealing an immaculately beautiful face; the only thing bug-like on her was her eyes.

My nose started bleeding as she stripped off the rest of her armor, leaving her in only a bikini top and bottom, revealing a stacked body designed to entice. She had to get my attention after asking me a question several times with no answer. I wiped the blood off my nose as she finally spoke, the robotic voice from before gone, replaced by a very feminine one. “My name is Cell, and I need your help.”

 Chapter 24

Doctor Gero really knew what he was doing when he made all the androids female. After she put on some more clothes and explained what was wrong, I quickly got to work. And by ‘I quickly got to work’ I mean I invited Bulma to figure out what was wrong with her. Cell was a bio-android, which meant that she was an android made from DNA instead of metal.

The DNA that Doctor Gero used was Saiyan, Namekian, and the blood of Cooler. If I had fought Frieza or Queen Cold instead of launching her off the planet and sealing her, the way I defeated them left no DNA, while Cooler bled all over the place. All the Androids were made stronger from the knowledge Doctor Gero gained from researching Cooler’s blood.

It was hard to blame Goku for this… But it really put into perspective how long Doctor Gero had been planning this. His revenge was going to take decades; the entire time, he never gave up killing Goku. It was certainly his fault that the three frost demons came to Earth, as he didn’t kill Frieza, but in the end, it was a good thing, because we thwarted his plan and got a bunch of hotties out of the deal.

Helping Cell reach her ‘perfect’ form wasn’t that difficult. The bio-androids used life essence as a power source, and the life force batteries in the other androids were what Cell needed to ‘evolve’ into her ‘perfect’ form. Bulma noticed the instability in the DNA, though. The biggest problem with so many sources of DNA is that they didn’t all get along together perfectly.

While the cold demon DNA made the androids stronger, it brought on psychosis, and it actively rejects other forms of DNA. Bulma’s main field wasn’t biology or biochemistry, but she did know enough that removing that DNA, or weakening it, would weaken Cell, but make her far more stable. The same went with the lust for battle from Saiyans, so she added human DNA to the mix, reducing the overall ratio, and somehow, the human DNA balanced everything perfectly.

It was like human DNA was specifically designed to work with all other forms of DNA, which very well could have been the case. Every race had one thing they were particularly good at, and I think humans were particularly good at breeding outside of their own species.

The perfect example of this was Gohan. Gohan had no right to be stronger than his father, but even with my son now a full blooded Saiyan, he still couldn’t keep up with Gohan. They were rivals, but Gohan was just stronger than Barrage, even though Barrage trained far more than Gohan did.

Half breeds gained most of the benefits of other races and none of the downsides in most cases, and I hadn’t noticed that until now. The binding was successful, and instead of weakening Cell, it made her stronger. The human DNA she gained came from two sources. Bulma… And Chi-Chi. She chose those two as one came from the smartest female on the planet, while the other came from the strongest… At least she was the strongest at one point in time.

It altered her appearance as well. Her green skin became more humanlike, still tinted an off shade of green, but much closer to actual skin. If anything, Doctor Gero mainly focused on making her attractive, but after the changes, she was even more so. There was a general sense of danger when around her, akin to a praying mantis that was no longer there.

She looked at me, and I could see a clarity that wasn’t there before, the genius DNA worked overtime on making her think the logical thing, and that was working with us instead of against us. The same thing happened shortly after that, where the other Androids were deprogrammed; engineering was Bulma’s expertise after all.

Cell didn’t know how to function in normal day-to-day life… So I, of course, agreed to help her get accustomed to daily life… And one thing led to another, which also happened with my new twin neighbors and the red-headed doctor… And now, after everything was said and done, I had four more wives.

Years later…

“Welcome back to the twenty-fifth world martial arts tournament!” I looked over the crowd and couldn’t believe the size. I was used to small backdoor matches, not these big events with a massive stadium that was also being televised. The older I get, the more I know that things can change in an instant. The tournament was now also split up into three categories.

The minor league included everyone below the age of ten. The junior league was for everyone below adulthood. And the main tournament. The minor league was a toss-up; I had about a dozen kids who wanted to participate, but there were a lot of other strong contestants, and we wouldn’t know who would win until they fought.

The junior tournament was going to be either Barrage or Gohan. Gohan was falling off and training less, but his family still needed the proceeds of the tournament to survive. The reason Goku didn’t need to get a job was the tournament winnings. That might not be the case, and he’d have to work as a bodyguard for Bulma every once in a while to get by after today.

That’s right, unless he reached a level beyond ascended super saiyan, I think I surpassed him again. We hadn’t fought in years, but we could gauge each other's strength, and I had a few surprises I could use to beat him. We watched the minor league, which ended up being almost exclusively children from the Z-fighters as participants.

Krillin and Raditz son was the victor, which was a shocking upset. As their only child, both parents often trained with him, so he was just stronger compared to the other contestants. He was still a league below Gohan and Barrage, as he hadn’t reached Super Saiyan yet. I theorized that children born to a parent who had reached Super Saiyan were more likely to unlock it.

The junior league did come down to Gohan and Barrage again, but Ling-Ling and Videl did surprisingly good as well, and Castanet was now the fifth strongest child on the planet, as his strength couldn’t compete with gravity chamber-trained children. He trained the most, but refused the gravity chamber, and it cost him.

Barrage pulled out the victory; he cheered and cried as he reached Ascended Super Saiyan, while Gohan had focused on academic training over physical training. I could see the shock on his face, but Gohan wasn’t a fighter, and it was only a matter of time before the more martially focused kids would finally catch up and surpass him.
