Third-person point of view

Naruto just finished putting on his clothes for the morning when his mom slowly approached him. She looked sheepish at him and wouldn’t make eye contact as she softly spoke. “So… Umm. I have some interesting news to tell you, I just remembered recently. It’s actually about your father’s legacy.”

Roughly 17 years ago…

Kushina just found out she was pregnant, and she got an idea in her head. She had always wanted a big family, just like Minato did, and she was fine with her husband marrying other women to make it happen. So she devised a plan. Getting their closest friends together, they started to drink. Kushina couldn’t obviously, because she was pregnant, but Minato and all his and her friends could.

Now, the problem with them is, every single one of their close friends was already married. Nawaki was married to Ami, and they just recently had a daughter. Hiami was married to Orochi and gave birth to the Hyuga clan heir and a few others while they were working on their next child, but she wasn’t showing any signs of being pregnant yet. Fugaku had just married his third wife, but Mikoto was a close friend of Kushina’s. And Gin had several wives already; one of his first was a pure Uzumaki.

Since Minato had just become Hokage, taking the position away from Fugaku, who no longer wanted it, it was also a celebration involving that. They kept drinking, and Kushina put her plan into place. She wanted to secure familial connections with all of her closest friends, and she planned on doing that through marriage contracts.

All of them signed them, but with the entire thing happening with the 9tails, she had mostly forgotten about them… Until all of them had come by recently to talk about who would make a good couple for Naruto. The contracts were for the Namikaze heir… Which was Minato, but he died, so it was moved to the next heir… Naruto.

Naruto had four marriage contracts given to him practically at his birth. And now Kushina was panicking about what it meant for him…

Naruto questioned. “So… What you’re telling me is that I have four potential wives I’ve never met before?” Kushina mentioned. “No, you’ve probably met and played with them. We do visit their families every so often after all. You’re obviously not going to get the wives I had wanted for your father; you’ll get ones closer to your own age.” Naruto didn’t know how to feel. He wanted a big family, but before that, he wanted his wives to love him.

“I’d like to meet them before we decide anything… It just seems like a lot all at once, you know?” Kushina chuckled at his verbal tic before ruffling his hair. “Yeah, we’ve already agreed on a date for the five of you to get to know each other better.” Naruto gulped again. He hadn’t been this nervous ever since the first time he confessed to Sakura and got rejected. They arrived at a barbecue place that the Akimichi’s owned, it was mostly empty. Naruto noticed the odd feeling of having the normally loud and bustling place all to themselves.

The families were all there already, each picking a table, but Naruto stopped when he saw the four women, one from each family, sitting separately in the middle of the tables. Gulping in nervousness again, Kushina pushed him toward the table before she took a seat near Mikato and immediately got into gossiping.

Naruto knew all of them, but he wouldn’t say he had any feelings for any of them… At least, until he knew they were interested in him. He could tell this wasn’t the thick-headed Naruto who wouldn’t notice Hinata looking at him; this was the smart, capable Naruto who was the son of one of the hokage. Even if they didn’t have this contract, there was a real chance he would start receiving confessions now that he was eligible for marriage.

Ten-Ten Senju. Blonde hair and a lithe body designed for being the best ninja she could be. If he remembered correctly, she was a specialist in summoning, both weapons and slugs, as she took after her Aunt Tsunade. Absolutely skinny… Up until her boobs, which she was above average, which made them look gigantic on her thin frame.

Nejire Hyuga. The daughter and look-alike of her mother, Hiami Hyuga. She wasn’t the heir of the Hyuga, but she was the daughter of the head of the Hyuga currently. Naruto was naturally scared of Hiami, as she acted very similarly to her husband Orochi, taking on some of his mannerisms, which her daughter mimicked. He made eye contact with Nejire and had to look away when she eyed him as if he were a piece of meat.

As he saw Gine Uzumaki sitting there, he couldn’t help but smile. They had a very close relationship, but it was as friends up until that point. She snuck a bottle of her father's sake once, and they drank the entire bottle one night a few months ago. She was certainly attractive, and if Naruto hadn’t been so head over heels for Sakura until recently, he might have tried something, but he didn’t want to ruin their friendship.

She smiled at him, and he looked at her as a woman now and not just one of his friends. Orange hair and possibly the best body out of all his fiancées. At least when it came to attractive bodies. She acted like a tomboy, so he had seen more of her skin and played far more with her than with any of the other girls. Plus, out of all of them… She had the largest breasts. Something he knew he loved, and was the only thing that made Sakura not his ideal woman… Well, that, and her love for another man.

The last and… The biggest surprise was Ayane Uchiha. It wasn’t a daughter of Mikoto; she had a girl about seven years older, and a ten-year-old, so that made sense. But it meant that the only female Uchiha who were close in his age or not married already were ones he didn’t know very well. Ayane is the biggest example. Her mother was from the Nara clan, and with that came the Nara brilliance and laziness.

Now she had a cute flush to her cheeks, dressed up more than he had ever seen her before, as she looked at him with a shyness he had never seen before. They had maybe spoken a handful of times; she filtered into the background most times he visited the Uchiha, but now he could barely take his eyes off her… Off of any of them, in fact, he couldn’t help but smile dumbly as he sat down and started talking.

He wasn’t sure until then if things would work out. But after Sakura made it clear she wanted nothing to do with him, he was willing to give it a chance. Gine leaned in and whispered in his ear. “So… Since we know we’re getting married, how about I give you a preview of our wedding night?” It was loud enough for the other girls at the table to hear, and they all chimed in, giving their own opinion on what they should do next.

All of his fiancées were older than him; he’d have liked a few younger… But there was a chance to add more later on if he could handle these four. Most of the time, the more influential the person, the bigger their harem, and he had to rebuild the Namikaze clan from himself. That would take many wives and children to do. Naruto knew he was going to be happy, but his quiet life was about to change forever.
