Concrete pour is finally this week (weather permitting)! I put my office chair exactly where it's going to be in the new workshop - this will be my smart command centre for all the cool things I've got planned!

Once the concrete is down, I'll leave it a couple of weeks and then see if I can get the building itself up and weathertight before the Scottish winter sets in!

I'm hoping the actual construction of the building will be relatively quick in comparison - nail guns and impact drills at the ready!!

Wow! Did you lay all that rebar yourself? It’s a huge slab! Wish your wooden plank was a little bigger, though. Makes me nervous with those wheels hanging over the edge! Still, must be nice to sit there and imagine the amazing space you’re going to create! So excited to see it take shape!

Yes, it's 8.5 x 4.5!! (What?? I need space for all my crafting madness!!) Rebar is fairly light actually (6mm) but got some helping hands to move into place as it's pretty floppy when it's 4.8 x 2.4m!! Concrete gets poured this morning, so time for my wellies, screeding and fingers crossed time!! 🤞

Literally just finished....!! It 'seemed' to go well. I now have a couple of hours where I'm hoping the rain will stay off and then I'll consider myself home and dry..... 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Did you use a vibrator? For the concrete of course!

Hope the pour is setting nicely! As Billy Connolly once said, "Scotland has two seasons - June, and Winter" :D Good luck with the workshop build! Pics or it didn't happen :D
