I really lile how.you actually picked up on stuff keep at it this show likes to gide you through 8mans development as a person while making critics a social comunication, beware though next season you will have to look harder to pick up on those clues. This show rewards you for taking an interest and thinking about subtext

Yukino trusts Hachiman implicitly at this point. He didn't say it was impossible to find Sagami so Yukino believed that he would. BTW: the reason why this seems like a season finally is because it essentially is the finale. Episode 13 was originally Anime exclusive until it was later turned into a .5 side story volume. Ironically, inspite of being a one off to fill up the last episode of the season, volume 6.5 is actually one of the longest volumes in the series with an extended story that includes something of a redemption arc for sagami.

Idk, in the show of course we all like Hikki more but irl he would be exhausting. A cloud of negativity and always making himself a martyr. Being around ppl like that is not healthy at all. Hayamas got issues too but isn’t totally fake like it seemed in the beginning. he seems to want Hikki to be happy/ stop hurting himself and usually others. They both want what’s best for the people they care about. Hikkis more effective at achieving the goal, but at costs that are probably not worth it. The best would be either Hikkis personality when he’s around his sister or a combo of Hikki and Hayama., which would kinda be like a grown up version of Arimas buddy watari in Your Lie in April.

Sensei really does get it best. She acknowledges that what he did is remarkable and helpful, in the end. But she also makes it clear she will not praise him for doing it in this manner. And warns him that while you might be okay with hurting your own pride/status/ego (even if it isn't healthy regardless)... there are going to be others who are hurt on your behalf.
