Bonus context:

At around 7:47, Kousei hears Ravel’s “Pavane for a Dead Princess” being played on his walk back home. He seems rattled, covers his ears, and starts running — probably because of how much it reminds him of the book Kaori referenced. Ravel's "Pavane for a dead princess" comes up multiple times in the book. It probably reminded Kousei of how depressing it was, how the book reminds him of his relationship with Karoi, and how, overall, Ravel is tied to a very despairing aspect of the story.

The line she says when he comes back to the hospital — “I didn’t think you’d ever come again” — is also what the girl from the book says to her pianist friend when he comes back for the first time after she talks about double suicide.
