Ayanokoji is what you call an unreliable narrator meaning that he will intentionally mislead the audience and even lie to the audience. Basically never trust anything he says lmao

Yup. The contract was all students from class A except Sakayanagi. 20k private points per student would be 78,000 private points at the end of every month for Ryuen... and if it had all gone to plan his class would have had the the same amount of class points as Class A: Katsuragi totalled class A's expected points out to 225, but wasn't factoring in -50 from Ryuen guessing their leader, making their total 175. Ryuen totalled his own score to 175. So they would have been tied for first place if Ayanokoji hadn't meddled... which would have met the terms of the contract (Class A being first place). Pretty devious plan, honestly.

The contract is really brilliantly designed. Objectively a great deal for both classes, outside of extreme circumstances like this. 200 extra class points means each student in the class will get 20k extra points every month until graduation. That's why the deal makes so much sense. Class C giving Class A 200 points worth of goods means that Class A will have 200 extra class points after the exam as long as they finish with more than 200 points. So they would have broken even on private point income, but ended up with 200 extra points of standing. Class C gets the income of those 200 points, and does not even have to partake in the exam.
