One little detail that I find interesting on this is that we never know Azuma's given name until her brother called him: Naoki. I think that's when he finally feels that someone really sees him as an Individual. Her mother always call him "you" and Shizuka is just her wishy imagery of his mother all along.

Honestly, by episode 4, you can really see how Shizuka starts becoming more manipulative. At first, she just seemed like this quiet, broken kid dealing with way too much, but now she’s clearly learning how to use Takopi and his gadgets to her advantage. It’s subtle, but the way she talks and acts feels more calculated—like she knows exactly how to get what she wants. She’s not just trying to survive anymore; she’s starting to control things. It’s kind of unsettling, but also shows how much her trauma is shaping her into someone way more complex and morally grey.

Oh yeah another fact is that azums sees his mum in shizuka and therefore he is looking for that acceptance and comfort from her hence his response to shizuka questions

That was an interesting perspective you guys took in thinking Shizuka doesn't realize she's manipulating him but is acting in ignorance/innocence due to trauma. I personally think that was copium on your guys' part haha 😄 I feel certain shots and direction choices are really hinting that Shizuka knows exactly what she's doing and knows it's wrong but doesn't care. I'm curious if she learned or picked up tricks on how to manipulate men through seeing her mom act as a prostitute. The way this show constantly has you questioning who's in the wrong and who people really are deep down is so well written 👏 great reaction!
