I could be wrong but I don't expect it to last too long. With that being said, now that I'm writing full time, I'm prepared for the 'worst' case scenario

Consider not getting too big of a backlog, one of the main reasons why I subbed was because of you interacting with people and taking people's ideas I was on another author's page and they're like oh I like that idea except that I have a 30 chapter backlog and you won't be able to see this for 3 months You're amazing idea.

I 100% agree with you. What I like about posting early access chapters to patreon is that it gives me a good idea of what storylines they like, reactions to end of each arc, characters etc. Even though I try not to respond too much (I'm too socially awkward, it is more draining than writing for me lol & also need to be careful about accidentally releasing spoilers), I love reading comments and seeing what ideas everyone has. There's been quite a few ideas that I took inspiration from and others that I made a note of to use later. Problem with huge safety backlog is if the author makes a mistake, they're stuck between a rock and a hard place, either they rewrite everything or they keep going forward. I personally think a backlog of around 5 days is a middle ground, big enough to be used in emergencies but also small enough that changes can be implemented easily
