I think 1 or 4 1 because Kai has it and I could see the mc eventually receiving lessons from him also it seems the easiest to fit in with the nature/wood theme as for 4 I could see it being similar to formations or coding allowing him to build up more complex traps and plans

Painting / Writing hybrid, because they have the most in common with formations. From what I understand (probably wrong) blie sun energy is about meaning amd intent. And the only person who has to fully understand that meaning is the practitioner themselves. So caligraphy wise, he had multiple languages to draw from including coding & runes.. And artistry-, wise, he can draw from any visual components he likes.

I feel like he might be leaning towards song because of that girl in his village but he will probably go for either painting or writing painting because it can do a lot of stuff writing because he has read so many fantasy books he knows how to describe a lot of fantastical things through writing I think writing is the most likely and don’t see any reason for him to think about sculpting really I just expect him to somehow work his wood affinity into it maybe he’ll even use a hybrid method of painting and writing where he paints great forests and ancient trees while writing short stories about his paintings to give them more power and direction

Calligraphy because it uses words for power. With his ability to travel to different worlds the languages and powers he will continue to learn and understand will add to this power while using different words and concepts from different worlds will add more and more variation to the words he can use not less.

Though I can see him using painting too since it’s the process of creation which is fundamentally what he is learning and cultivating in the main world. His universe he’s creating in his dantian is already a sturdy foundation for creation and using the painting style would work well for him considering he has first hand experience in literally create a world in his dantian.

Probably Song and Calligraphy. Song for it's relation to the theme of resonance that has been ongoing so far throughout the story. Calligraphy for his history, study, and practice of arrays.

I would actually say sculpting because he may be able to carve red sun runes onto them. As well as it being something he could create easily in his inner world. It might also be able to give him insight into the statue of his ancestor. Add to that, he could possibly make mobile formation automatons. Otherwise, I would say song due to his music theory and how he used it in his formations. I can imagine all kinds of ways he could use sound and vibrations amplified by or amplifying his formations. I doubt he would want to be too narrow but he also needs some more stable and longlasting options.

Calligraphy combined with song would be great. I can see advantages to each option. Calligraphy may be less versatile but if it is more controlled it might be easier to combine with arrays and red sun stuff.... What I like about song stuff is that he potentially can do it hands free.

He should pick Caligraphy, if his goal is to unite the two systems. Runes can be thought of as a form of written language, so he should be able to infuse them with the artistic meaning required by the blue sun.

That’s my thought too. Runes are essentially a form of written lanuage, so if he wants to combine the two systems then he should focus on that

Calligraphy as I don’t think Ke Yin has had a lot of experience with any of the others. Though Song would be the best as he can sing while drawing increasing his output by drawing runes and singing. Would love singing even if I don’t think it’s likely.

Sculpture would be the best because he can use that with his plant control. To make things without his hand. But combined with calligraphy would be best if he can create a stronger version using native language of the MC.

I really like the thought of ke yin using song, he has already shown a slight interest towards it in both of his lives. I also think it would diversify his arsenal a little bit, I can just imagine him using his music to lure and confuse enemies while manipulating the forest around them, the and roots and plants bending in concert with thr scripture of the world tree and music almost like fae in old germanic myths. Calligraphy would also be badass, and he already has excellent handwriting

Painting has the closest correspondence with runed and formations so IT would have the Most overlap with the teachings he has already learned
