It was stated earlier that you create a dream palace and then bringing it into reality at later levels. In dreams the rules are arbitrary. Reject reality and substitute your own and isn’t that exactly what inner world cultivation does? A domain is literally bringing a piece of your inner world and superimposed it onto your surroundings. Like how the chosen realm you could gaslight reality till it reshaped itself. Dream cultivators project their dream into the dream world. First onto themselves, then into their immediate surroundings, then at the highest levels they make their dream a part of reality. Not reshaping reality till it matches but expanding reality around them and filling the now empty space. This is basically sneak peek of domains, life realm world anchoring and other high rank abilities where the world and cultivation system is tailored for it.

Well if it's based around knowing oneself it's power would probably be just buffing your inner world. I mean so far it's like cultivators dream the world's into existence with some outside aide.

Tyftc but this is a very very slow tournament arc. Very filler filled, like dragon ball z or Naruto fr. I like it but uhhh it’s a bit jarring from action action every other thing ke yin did to the slog that is the tournament arc.

I took a break to let this arc build up and it’s been fun to read so far. I get why people don’t like it as I don’t usually like stories within stories myself but this story has changed that for me

For what it’s worth, I also found this arc a little slow after the previous tournament stages moving quickly. Maybe in editing you could trim it down a few chapters - or at the very least intertwine the two narratives rather than one than the other so we don’t have to suffer a rewind and repeat with a different pov
