So the correct solution is to cripple her LATER when she could survive it. I suppose even that could be considered cold, but she DID murder him. Maybe worse, she killed Hou.

I’m actually glad the author didn’t listen to last chapter’s bloodthirsty comments. Everyone knows objectively that killing her would be the logical choice, but as the chapter points out, it’s not exactly the moral thing to do, and the MC has been consistently shown to be a fundamentally good guy. For what it’s worth, I’m glad to see a xianxia story that tries to stick to its moral guns in such an unforgiving world.

The protagonist is one of the few heroes characters in novels who isn't naively good. Refreshingly, we usually get antiheroes in such novels, sometimes villains, and heroes, or at least believable ones, who aren't naive and good in that stupid way, are very rare.

First thing that comes to mind is that the bandits were working for her savior, looking to recruit someone with her bloodline.

Random thought, I know there's been a lot of back and forth on what Ke Yin's Dao will be, and a popular opinion is that it will be cultivation, as in cultivating life and so on. I personally believe that interpretation, but what do y'all think the chances are that his Dao is creation considering the series title is "cultivation is creation". It makes a little less sense for Ke Yin's character but it would be funny

Really? I mean, I've thought about it and it's definitely a real dao, like just because the realm of living lyrics in music based doesn't mean the dao of music cant be followed, but I'm starting to see that Ke Yin's dao is less likely to be creation, or at least as his main dao, and he's more likely to have the Human Dao or Dao of Humanity. Kindness despite the world, Protection of the innocent and an Empathy strong enough to vow to save those he hasn't known for long are all the thing that we as humans claim makes us more and are all the things he lives by.

Use the red and blue sun energies, combined with qi, to give her what every cultivator wants, immortality. However, it comes at the cost of being a mortal woman. She won’t die from anything, she can’t be used as a resource for anyone, and she will also be marked with something that gives everyone the understanding that she is a traitor. Please do this later. Show biblical punishment for Chinese culture. Show them the everlasting hell that can happen when you can no longer die, no longer reincarnate. Really, Reincarnations are a total rip off. What do you mean all of my deeds are wiped away upon reincarnation? I just wanna see some culture shock from such a twist, that immortality isn’t all that great when it’s used to live a life of nothing but pain. Think of Cain from the Bible.

Forcing her to use her remaining uses of the bloodline trait would definitely cripple her should she survive. She'd no longer have that ace up her sleeve if something goes wrong, and Shen Bolin wouldn't be able to use it either.

I still don’t understand why she couldn’t use her ability on one of the foes rather than a teammate. Seems like kind of a big hole in her logic… unless I missed something.

The foes are constructs, not real, flesh and blood, people. She can't transfer injuries to a construct.
