I love this story but there is literally a gigantic timeline plot hole that you just opened up that I would like to at least make you aware of. It is literally impossible for Shen to have been alive when the owner of the realm died as the owner of the realm died long before Shen even rose to power. Technically, he would have never even seen a single contestant and there is proof through your own chapters. To start with the disproving this, I have to first show my source of how time passes which we can reference chap 565 when we see Ke Yin back in the original realm. It specifically states 6 hrs has passed and in the dream world at least 15 years has passed as shown by this being when Ke Yin will connect to his own world. By this exact logic and assuming a year is equal to us as not stated otherwise then we can prove that in the dream world 60 years pass every main world day and 21900 years pass in a year in the main world. Making Shen being in the palace for only a little over 2 years old in main world time. And we can prove that this world has been untouched for years from chap 512 where Sect Master literally states it hasnt been touched for 100s of years and it was used before numerous times. That means the dream world was last used at least 44 million years ago in dream world time and that breaks the current plot in many ways. I know in cultivation time is usually a dicey subject to begin with but to me this amount of time disparity would absolutely be something that Azure the Super Computer would point out immediately after Shen said it

The viewing speed for the contestants are faster for the viewers. It could be a ratio when outside or they could simply pause the dream when they don’t need it running. But it’s like the chosen world is moving at faster ratio then real time. Maybe inside of the sunken past time is stopped as well. Shen could be experiencing time differently.
