Another question. The Olympians are increasing their influence in the mortal sphere. But why now? They had nearly 60 years without competition. The removal of other pantheons meant there were billions of potential new worshippers, so why didn't they make their move earlier? It seems simple enough to do, as is being demonstrated currently. Further, why did they hide from the mortals originally anyway? I can't remember if the books explained it or not; however, in this universe, the Mist seems to be powerful enough to explain the loss of millions and an entire island. They could have stayed ruling and simply hidden the more extreme things that may cause unnecessary panic amongst the mortals. The Hindu Pantheon continued ruling; why not the Olympians?

Firstly, thank you for the compliments. Knowing you enjoy reading my comments beats back my insecurities abt this deep analysis. Secondly, I had a second question regarding something brought up near the end of the sea of monsters arc but not touched upon since. We’ve established the Cthulhu/Lovecraft mythos is part of this reality, but due to them being primordial level and part of their pantheon, they don’t follow the treaty of jerusalem and frankly don’t care about a multiversal split, it’s below them. We’ve also established classic greek primordials are taking an interest in this reality. Are the lovecraftian great old ones above the greek primordials(thus putting them out of this story unless you want to cameo them again), with or equal to the greek primordials(making them part of this story and a factor), or below the greek primordials since they’re a more recent mortal mythology(again having the same consequences as putting them on the same level as the greek primordials). Not a major issue, since Lovecraft was a fun cameo either way. I’m just mildly confused since you’ve established an alternate mythos behind the treaty of jerusalem restriction, lumping them with our current highest-level, without any clarification on their relevance or power. This just leads to some interesting implications like the primordial level gods of each mythology(i.e: God in christian mythology, the concept Ahtma or the big three[brahma, krishna, and shiva] in hindu mythology, or Shangdi[the heaven splitter} and Tian[the heaven ruler] in Chinese mythology) all being valid in this universe since they’re all also primordially conceptual similar to the greeks or lovecraft, if lovecraft is greater than or equal to the primordials in power. Again, doubt this is a natural conclusion for a reader to go down. You just have a Philosophy/Math major alongside your audience who concerns himself with the logical implications of your statements! Love your story either way!
