Got back to work today. Started off by sanding all the primered parts to help remove some orange peel/dust. Then I sprayed the base coat. Started off rough with a bunch of fish eyes (probably from the diesel heater). Had to re-sand some stuff and use a different paint prep but after that the paint laid decently.

Gotta be honest I hate this. I’m a perfectionist and unless I was willing to spend a lot more money and time these parts will never be perfect. It’s just too cold and dusty in my shop. Crazy amount of orange peel, crazy amount of dust, and I even managed to get some runs in it. Tomorrow we do the clear. At least then this nightmare will be over 😭😂

Painting has always seemed like a nightmare to me for pretty much the same reason. I commend your effort.
