Round 2 Begins… (Patreon)

Casual day of work this Saturday! Started the morning off by finishing the edit of the Accord Video. Peep a phone photo from the night before. Then I got to the shop and started doing: more bodywork 😭

EP3 obviously had a wrecked front bumper & hood, and a few panels that were super faded so we’re fixing all of that. This time I’m ONLY doing the bodywork, then sending it to Maaco to have them paint it. Next week is going to be like 15-30 degrees all week so painting is not an option.

While the body filler dried I did some work on the Drift Truck. The main thing was bracing the steering shaft more. I noticed it had quite a bit of play by the firewall and it was causing the steering wheel to “shift” and have a dead spot in the middle. Adding another heim joint and welding the center ball of the heim joints so they had less flex definitely helped. Could use a tad more bracing, but I’ll have to do some removal of parts before that can happen.

I’ve also been doing some tuning on the Drift Truck just getting it super dialed. Pretty fun and I’m learning a lot. The truck idles better than the Accord now 😂
