I STILL don't have my paperwork; the provider was very ill and got massively behind. I haven't heard from her in ages. I hope she's okay, but I really need the paperwork I paid for! She also diagnosed me with social anxiety, but I knew that already, lol 😆

Laughins so hard at "I am not a concise person. You would not describe me as concise." That could be a line from a sitcom the Irony was so perfect. We dont need you to be concise, when the video is over I have to decide on what to watch next, hour and a half videos are perfectly acceptable.

I don't usually like commenting before watching the whole video, but... Oh my gosh!!! It sounds like this psychologist is describing me! I've got tears welling up in my eyes. (I am undiagnosed and struggle with this almost daily, but my psychologist did not understand me and instead tested me on every personality disorder she could think of before finally concluding I had none, but she couldn't conclude autism either.) Also, so far, your psychologist sounds so aware and perceptive and not unkind. Wow. If nothing else comes from the rest of the video, then still, thank you for sharing!!! It is helpful. (And hurtful and healing at the same time.) Thank you honestly. I hope, in turn, that my comment may help someone else. If only at least to feel less alone or misunderstood.

There were a few things in your report that made me remember experiences I’ve had. Really interesting video. It made me feel more positively to a potential future assessment- it’d be really interesting to have someone explain myself to me.

The left right thing is also a thing with DYSCALCULIA. Dyscalculia is like dyslexia but specific to numbers, maths, spacial orientation. It seems to me like even more people struggle with dyscalculia, but its even less widely recognized than dyslexia. I have dyscalculia, and I cannot be relied upon to tell right and left, even with taking time to triple check. Part of the problem I think is left and right require a third thing as a point of reference, and people usually don't include that in their directions. I always laugh when people say things like "that store is on the right hand side of the street" cause I'm like, which way are you facing, though? If I'm a bit familiar with a place, I usually have come to know the cardinal directions which are bigger so they have a further reference point, if that makes any sense.

Yeah totally agree I showed one of her videos to my mom and she was like “I mean I like it but it feels like she’s repeating herself and it’s so long” and I was like “but no because she’s putting all the information in one place and leaving no room for me to start spiraling in my thoughts on parts of the concepts that I don’t get” I don’t know it that makes any sense but basically I just like how long they are cause it’s helpful for me lol.

OMG I JUST REALIZED, I use being trans and lgbt for the same pourpose that you used being vegan, "oh hes a bit weird" "nah man hes just fruity" "oooh ok" was a common conversation people have had about me. allies usually dont care about me being nerodivergent anyway so yah but average people made fun of me for being trans instead which i didnt care bc i was proud of being myself.

This assessment feels so.. complete ? And detailed ? Mine was basically a repetition of the same two things over and over, described in the most scientific way but it doesnt feel like I was the person being analyzed 🥲 it was very general idk, I thought they were all like that but I guess I paid an embarrassing amount for the bare minimum :/ and it took me 3 months of weekly appointments too

My assessment was just “Brittany fits the level 2 autism diagnostic criteria” .. no explanation. And it wasn’t very personalized. It was very much “by the book”.
