I mean the obvious best is seat 4. Austin is a huge laugh and a gentleman. also Isle seat is the best seat in the house. You also would still be able to drink and talk with Ron Burgundy. Plus Goku's right next to you on the other side of the aisle

I was going to take seat 8 for sure until I remembered this was boomer poo. So I'll take 10, Chip and Dale seem cool and Surprise Round Goku only kills if you start shit with him. The worst he's gonna do is be noisy while he eats. Alternatively you take seat 5, make the deal with crash and then after he beats the shit out of you you get the hour rewind to protect you through the rest of the flight.

One thing that I was thinking when I originally saw this that no one mentioned: if this is all from podcast lore, then isn't Goku the one who you witnessed kill someone in an alley outside a party and then leave? I don't know if I want to be on a plane with that guy. That being said, I do think I'd have to go with 10 as best seat with 8 close behind. As a woman I'd rather get beat up by crash bandicoot once than have to deal with an increasingly drunk Ron Burgundy for a full 8 hours. Plus it's an aisle seat near the bathroom 🫡

Without listening to it yet my initial thoughts would be spots 4 or 5 would the most reasonable if you’re a man (Austin probably wouldn’t try to make advances on you). 3 could also be manageable but that depends on if we’re sticking to Flintstones lore and that alien guy only bothers the seat next to him and the others around don’t know he’s even there because then again assuming you’re a male Ron Burgundy can be relatively ignored. The other side has too many surrounding annoyances. It could be cool to sit next to Goku, but then you got FB on the other side, sure Pooh is okay, but you got the Star Wars slave owner behind you and depending on the level of rehabilitation Stitch has had he could be fine or a total nightmare. For spot 4 this again depends on your gender and the specific movie version of Austin Powers. Is he fresh out the ice cube Shaggadelic Austin or the been in the present for a good while Austin? For spot 5 is Crash just being chill eating Wumpa Fruits and the worst thing is getting the juices everywhere or is he going full hog with the spinning all over, breaking things with his gold AkuAku mask, and yelling “Whoa!” every time a flight attendant tries to get him to settle down? Edit: Post listen a lot of my take is wrong. I took source lore over Pod lore which changes how Crash, Stitch and even Goku are seen. I also just got the seat direction wrong which would obviously change who I thought was ahead or behind me. Like Xatlern said in a comment in Pod lore you did see Goku kill someone and could be a source of tension which would make sitting across the aisle from him stressful. But sitting behind him you could at least keep a subtle eye on him. Only down side to seat 10 is it is right by the bathrooms so you will be hearing and smelling all of FB’s dumps before, during and after he does them.

I think seat 2 might be awesome. There's the possibility *you* can't see/don't know gazoo is there. Although if you think it's empty and try to slide to the window seat to see the view...that might be an issue

I'm just thinking about the smells on that plane. Both Kongs, Grinch, Stitch, Crash, Chip/Dale and Sonic are furry creatures that probably get a stank. Gazoo and Sebulba are aliens who may have very different hygiene standards. Goku and Fred are just big guys who are often sweaty, and Fat Bastard is just nasty. And then if Ron is wearing Sex Panther, there are no safe seats for your nose.

I’ve only heard the first 9 minutes. I’ll leave my seat now and then check in again after I’ve heard the episode if I change my mind. Obvious choice for me is 1. It’s bulkhead which sucks. But Gazoo is so short I can fully recline. I always wear noise cancelling headphones. I always bring my eye cover. If I’m sitting next to a sticky ass Libertarian — also a stinky ape — then I can prep a mask with my wife’s perfume. Take two fat edibles so I pass out for the duration. Row 1 means I get carry on priority and can leave the plane faster.

Seat 6 really is best of the worst. It sucks, but fundamentally it's just, middle seat, loudass boomer to one side, quiet seething on the other, overly energetic child kicking you in the back. I've had that flight, it barely even ruined my day

I have an issue with his this was deliberated. The assumption was that Crash Bandicoot wanted to beat you up based off one Surprise Round scenario. That is fine if we're saying that's NADDPOD canon. However, Goku also appeared in a Surprise Round scenario, where he murdered someone and flew away leaving you to take the blame. So I would think I'm NADDPOD canon he is a bad guy. But he is still portrayed as heroic in these hypotheticals

My one regret is putting Chip and Dale instead of Jar Jar Binks. I think it was a recency bias thing where Caldwell mentioned them on Short Rest or something but Jar Jar is certainly more significant in NADDpod lore.

I mean, they do literally say in the ep that it's gross and not funny.... There was the "MTV" humour of the 00s that was basically "be as gross and inappropriate as you can" that, y'know, teenagers found funny. 4 and 10 being considered the best seats is WILD Crash is within an arms length with no immediate blockers, and as aisle seats Fat Bastard can grab you any time he gets up. Goku will protect you but not until you've already been attacked, leading to grievous bodily harm. In seat 3, you have the protection of a layer of people separating you and Crash, and you're in Goku's line of sight so if Crash does come for you, he will protect you without you coming to harm.
