Honkai Livestream in Honkai Impact - Mei in the World Serpent CH1-5
Chapter One: Who is that Beautiful, Elegant, and Charming Girl?
"Teacher Xiyue, welcome to St. Freya Academy!"
"On behalf of all the teachers and students, welcome."
In the St. Freya teachers' apartment, Xiyue lay sprawled on the bed, staring blankly at the white ceiling. Her mind wandered back to her meeting with Theresa, recalling Theresa's petite figure and her adorable, naive voice.
Xiyue stretched out her slender fingers, feeling a mix of emotions.
Who could have imagined that slacking off at work would lead to transmigrating into the world of Honkai Impact?
The transmigration itself was surprising enough, but waking up to face Otto's smug face was even more unexpected.
She had become an intern under Otto, and for some reason, Otto sent her to St. Freya Academy as a trainee teacher. Her task was to supervise Kiana and report on her daily activities for a week.
Although puzzled, as a level 88 Captain, she knew the plot.
Didn’t Otto already have Fu Hua monitoring Kiana? What was the need for her?
She got it: Otto probably didn’t trust Fu Hua.
But why would he trust a fresh newcomer like her?
The more she thought about it, the more her head hurt, so she stopped thinking and agreed readily. After all, the trainee teacher position came with a salary and included meals and accommodation! As someone with no assets, she had no reason to refuse. Besides, St. Freya Academy was quite safe for now.
At least until the arrival of the Pufferfish Queen, it was extremely safe. With her slender arms and legs, and a golden finger that could only grow sneakily, St. Freya Academy was the best choice.
"Who would have thought I was an intern teacher in my past life, and now I'm an intern teacher again?"
"Fate plays tricks on us."
Like many transmigrators, she had a golden finger of some sort; hers was the "Honkai Impact 3rd Live Streaming System."
As the name suggests, it involved live streaming in the Honkai Impact world.
Upon seeing this, Xiyue wanted to complain: why not let her live stream Kiana and the others instead of playing the game? Wouldn’t that be more exciting?
But unfortunately, the system rejected her suggestion, giving a vague reason, a typical enigmatic system response.
"The viewers are special, please do not do that."
So, the viewers weren’t from Earth? But what would aliens find interesting about watching her play games? Honkai Impact 3rd had many attractions, but its audience was mainly those who loved the second dimension.
Could aliens also love 2D?
Xiyue had many doubts, but the system did not answer her questions. However, her playful nature made her look forward to live streaming the main storyline, making people cry with those emotional moments.
Thinking about this, Xiyue felt happier. Remembering the emotional moments from the game, she almost wanted to smash miHoYo's company!
But live streaming Honkai Impact 3rd within the Honkai world felt oddly intriguing.
'Whatever, as long as I can get stronger by lying down.'
Xiyue thought lazily, then happily hugged her soft blanket and rolled around on the bed. After a while, she opened her eyes and asked in her mind.
"System, are there any requirements for live streaming?"
"Just follow three rules: Do not reveal your name, do not show your face, and maintain civility during the stream."
"And stream for at least three hours each day. Besides content related to the game, there are no other requirements."
Hearing this, Xiyue nodded. It seemed pretty free.
"What about rewards?"
"Rewards are given as crystal conversions from the tips and emotional responses of viewers during the stream. The rewards are settled at the end of each day's stream."
"With the crystals, you can draw rewards and abilities from the system's lottery interface."
Understanding this, Xiyue realized it was similar to most live streaming systems in web novels.
Drawing rewards? She was incredibly lucky!
Lucky enough to always get banned for flaunting her rare cards in chat groups.
But Xiyue thought of another question and asked the system.
"System, if the viewers are not from our world, are they from this world?"
The system immediately responded.
"No need for the host to worry. The system handles the viewers. Just focus on streaming."
Hearing the system's enigmatic response, the lazy Xiyue decided not to ask further. As long as she could get stronger by lying down, the enigmatic system could remain enigmatic.
Then, the system's cold voice rang in her ear again.
"Streaming time has arrived. Please prepare to stream."
Reluctantly, Xiyue crawled out of the Simmons bed, but thinking about the stream, she lay back down, turned over, rested her head on the pillow, and took out two phones: one for streaming and one for reading comments.
Although there was a computer in the teacher's room, she was too lazy to get up. If she could stream lying down, why sit up?
With her slender fingers, she tapped on the screen, selecting the image of a silver-haired girl, and held the phone upright.
"Streaming room open."
"Stream pushed successfully."
"Please follow the three streaming rules: Do not reveal your name, do not show your face, and maintain civility."
The familiar interface appeared, mechanical and methodical, then the screen went black. A deep green ocean appeared, followed by a familiar German voice, and a small figure kneeling on a burning battlefield.
"Kiana, we had an agreement, right? You won't lose to her."
Accompanied by a steady male voice, a young Kiana with heterochromatic eyes appeared, followed by the Hyperion, and a large sword stabbed into the ground. A slender hand grasped the hilt.
Simultaneously, a majestic and hopeful BGM played.
"I will continue forward along the path you have paved!"
Then came the appearance of the Herrscher of Flamescion. At the end of the scene, a pink-haired girl sitting on a sofa appeared, with a voice like a fairy.
"I'm glad to see you becoming familiar here, gradually approaching our journey."
Then, four big words appeared in the lower left corner: Elysian Realm.
Seeing this familiar yet somewhat unfamiliar scene, Xiyue realized it was the 5.0 version [Inherit the Flame] promotional PV, explaining the presence of Fire Moth and Elysia.
"So, this is the 5.0 version of the game."
"Version 5.0, huh."
Xiyue sighed, memories flooding her mind, her eyes filled with complex emotions. The versions before 5.0 were indeed dark times.
Even she, someone who played games purely for fun and never participated in discussions, was affected, making her reluctant to remember.
Right or wrong, it was all in the past.
Sighing lightly, she focused on the screen, and at the same time, a notification appeared on the other phone.
"Welcome, [Miss Elf], [Don't want to do the Exam], [Wants to Buy an Island] to the stream."
Simultaneously, a pink comment appeared.
"Miss Elf: May I ask who is the beautiful, elegant, and charming girl at the end of the video?"
Chapter Two: The Place Where Dreams Begin
At the same time, Xiyue looked at the messages on her other phone. Recalling the introduction used by streamers in her previous life, she smiled at the phone and said,
"Hello everyone, I'm Yuexi, a streamer with two and a half years of experience."
"Welcome, all three of you, to my stream."
After the introduction, Xiyue saw the comment and her lips curved into a smile. Thinking of Elysia's voice and appearance, she didn't answer directly but asked in return,
"Who is this beautiful, elegant, and charming girl?"
Recalling her first impression of Elysia, Xiyue remembered how, in the world of anime, pink-haired girls were often deceptive. Initially, pink hair gave the impression of gentleness and straightforwardness, but in many works, it often hinted at hidden schemes and deceit.
However, after a year of storytelling, Elysia showed everyone that pink represented the softest and most romantic aspect of a girl.
As the saying goes,
"As it was at the beginning, so it remains."
She recited with emotion,
"She is the most beautiful gift from the gods to humanity!"
"A flawless and eternal blossom!"
"Who has the purest ego!"
...
During the Fifth Honkai Eruption, in a pink-filled room at the headquarters of Fire Moth in the previous civilization, a pink-haired girl was sitting at her vanity, brushing her hair while thinking about Xiyue's stream.
While she was grooming herself, Elysia heard a system voice in her mind,
"Welcome to Yuexi's stream."
Seeing this, Elysia initially thought it was something new created by Mobius. Just as she was wondering what scheme Mobius was up to, she saw the PV [Inherit the Flame].
The unfamiliar scenes and the resolute voice of a girl drew her in.
To her surprise, she saw her own image in the video!
Reflecting on her past, she realized she had never been to the place shown in the video, nor did she know the girl speaking to her.
"What's going on?"
However, being clever, she quickly realized this wasn't Mobius's doing. Initially wanting to ask why she appeared in the video, she was warned by the system,
"Please do not reveal your identity to the streamer."
Understanding this, Elysia posted her comment with interest.
After hearing Xiyue's response, she paused, her hand stopping mid-motion, then smiled sweetly.
"Miss Elf: Shy [Yellow Emoji]"
"Miss Elf: Wow, is this beautiful girl really that great?"
Seeing this comment, Xiyue smiled again. It seemed this viewer was already captivated by Elysia's charm.
No one could resist Elysia's allure. Later, when she streamed Elysian Realm, this viewer would surely become a lifelong fan of Elysia!
"Yes!"
"She is that great. Why? You'll find out when I finish Elysium Realm."
Though unsure about streaming, as a trainee teacher, she knew how to pique students' curiosity.
Hearing Xiyue's words, Elysia's pink eyes narrowed slightly, and she softly murmured,
"Elysian Realm?"
After Xiyue finished speaking, she noticed Miss Elf didn't respond. Feeling a bit disappointed, she recalled how, in her previous life, newbie streamers often had only bots in their chat. At least she had real comments.
With that thought, her mindset adjusted.
"Shock value from Miss Elf +60 crystals."
Seeing this notification, Xiyue knew this was her key to getting stronger. Feeling motivated, she tapped her phone screen again, bringing up the familiar opening animation.
The screen went black, displaying a line of text,
"Time since the Third Honkai Eruption: 2 years, 5 months, 16 days, 2 hours, 34 minutes, 26 seconds."
Then, a mature woman's voice came through,
"Ryusei, this is Hyperion. Report the mission status."
"Report, Major Himeko. Target is not visible due to the storm. Mission danger level has increased to A. Requesting confirmation."
"Continue the mission!"
"Yes, Major Himeko! Closing hatch safety locks. Manually opening hatch. Hyperion has reached designated orbit. All systems are normal. Hydraulic pressure is stable."
"Observation team confirmed. Valkyrie landing ready."
The scene shifted to a girl in white armor, her slender, pale back glowing red. Her twin tails fluttered in the wind as the hatch opened, revealing a delicate, cute face with calm blue eyes. She walked steadily toward the hatch.
"Valkyrie ready for landing."
"Ten, nine... one."
The silver-haired girl leapt from Hyperion, descending through the atmosphere. Her small figure blended with the sky, white clouds, and the blinding sun, accompanied by stirring music.
She landed on a colossal battleship, her determined eyes ready for a fierce battle.
Then, three large words filled the screen,
"Honkai Impact 3rd."
Watching this scene, Xiyue felt a surge of excitement.
This CG was where all her dreams began. It was this impressive CG that got her hooked, leading her into miHoYo's trap.
"Want to Buy an Island: Is this a game?"
Seeing this comment, Xiyue realized she hadn't introduced the game yet.
What a failed streamer.
She quickly explained,
"Yes, this is a game called Honkai Impact 3rd. It's the game I'll be streaming."
"It's an action role-playing game."
"Want to Buy an Island: A role-playing game?"
"Yes, the game has a complex setting. Simply put, in a future world, a mysterious disaster called 'Honkai' corrodes the world. Humans infected by Honkai turn into zombie-like creatures. Besides them, there are also Honkai beasts and Herrschers, posing great threats to the world."
"The only ones who can resist Honkai are girls with Honkai antibodies. They form the Valkyrie unit, smash cold mechas, and wield heavy weapons to fight against Honkai. They fight for all the good in the world!"
"We control these Valkyries. I'll explain more details during the main storyline streams."
"This Valkyrie is Kiana Kaslana, also called Paramecium. She's the protagonist of the game."
As Xiyue spoke, she noticed Kiana in her default outfit standing in the center of the screen, her big eyes wide open. All other features were unlocked, including 2800 crystals from the system.
Meanwhile, Xiyue received a surge of shock value,
"Shock value from Miss Elf, Don't Want Exams, and Want to Buy an Island +280."
Seeing this, Xiyue smiled. Promotional videos were indeed the best way to attract newcomers.
"Don't Want Exams: This silver-haired girl is so cool! How can the future be so cool and powerful? Why am I even taking exams now? I'm quitting!"
"But why is she called Paramecium? That's such an awful name! (Angry)"
Chapter Three: Captain? Have You Washed the Deck Today?
Saint Freya Academy, Student Dormitory.
"Mei, is the food ready?"
"I'm so hungry! I need to eat Mei's cooking, or I'm going to die!"
Kiana sprawled on a chair, her head resting on the dining table, weakly watching Mei cook in the kitchen.
Mei turned her head to look at the languid Kiana, a mix of helplessness and affection in her eyes, and said gently,
"Kiana, just wait a little longer. It'll be ready soon."
Hearing Mei’s words, Kiana replied feebly.
Suddenly, a light screen appeared in front of her, accompanied by a calm girl's voice, startling her. She jumped up from her seat and fell heavily onto the smooth floor.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch."
Hearing the commotion, Mei stopped chopping vegetables and turned to look at Kiana, who was sitting on the floor, one hand rubbing her butt and the other holding her head.
"Kiana, what happened?"
Kiana quickly stood up, ran to Mei’s side, and grabbed her arm, pointing to the light screen on the table.
"Mei, Mei, there's a light screen on the table that scared me!"
Mei followed Kiana’s gaze to the table but saw nothing but cups. She looked down at Kiana clinging to her arm, took a deep breath, and pushed Kiana away.
"Kiana, I know you're hungry. Just wait a little longer. The food is almost ready."
"Be good, go wait at the table for a bit longer."
She turned back to continue cooking, ignoring Kiana.
Kiana wanted to protest but remembered the serious consequences of disturbing Mei while she cooked. She reluctantly returned to her seat.
"It must be Bronya's doing!"
"I’ll eat all her food later as payback for scaring me."
Kiana grumbled, lying on the table. As she muttered, the light screen reappeared in front of her. This time, instead of screaming, she was captivated by the cool animation.
Seeing the familiar figure in the video, Kiana exclaimed in disbelief,
"That's me?"
She wanted to ask in the chat but was warned by the system. When she heard the streamer Yuexi mention her name, she realized it probably wasn’t Bronya’s doing. However, before she could think about what this stream was, she was already engrossed in the CG.
"This is so cool!"
"But I haven’t officially become a Valkyrie yet. Can I participate in those missions?"
"Could this be my future?"
Her eyes sparkled at the thought. Hearing Yuexi mention her nickname, she ignored the earlier explanation of the game’s setting and asked,
"Why do they call me Paramecium?"
Seeing Kiana’s question, Yuexi couldn’t help but laugh.
"Why do they call her Paramecium?"
There were many reasons, not just because it was a joke but also because Kiana resembled an insect in many ways. She remembered a line from the second chapter of the main story where Mei said to Kiana,
"Are you an insect?"
Thinking of this scene, Yuexi couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Hearing Yuexi laugh, Kiana felt insulted, her face puffing up in anger.
"Don’t laugh!"
"Tell me why they call her a Paramecium! (Furious)"
Seeing the question on the screen, Yuexi stifled her laughter. Although the insect joke had been around for a long time, it would come up repeatedly in the later storylines and events. She decided to leave it as a mystery for now.
"Sorry, I couldn’t help it."
"Ahem, the reason Kiana is called insect?"
"It’s because insects have great potential! The evolution of an insect is incredible."
"Insect—Soft-bodied creature—Amphibian—Reptile—Mammal—White Comet—Knight Moonbeam—Queen—Insect particularly clingy to Mei—Sky Ranger—Firefly."
"See, isn’t that impressive?"
Hearing Yuexi’s explanation, Kiana subconsciously felt it made sense.
There were so many evolutions, but something still felt off.
She couldn’t pinpoint what, though.
In another timeline, Elysia watched Yuexi and Kiana’s conversation with a constant smile on her face.
Based on her identity, this "No Exams" person was indeed Kiana Kaslana, which meant the game depicted future events.
The PV’s final words also suggested their story persisted in the future world.
"I wonder what kind of story my future self and the Fire Moth will leave behind?"
With this thought, Elysia eagerly anticipated the stream’s content, though she sighed softly in her heart.
"If the future still has Honkai, does that mean we ultimately didn’t defeat it?"
She buried her sadness deep within and continued watching the screen, her pink eyes gleaming.
Seeing no new comments, Yuexi focused on the game, tapping on Kiana in the game. Kiana responded with cute lines,
"Besides Mei, I like the captain the most!"
Another tap.
"Are you looking for trouble?"
Another tap.
"Go away!"
One more tap.
"If I fail the exams, Aunt Himeko will beat me up."
Looking at Kiana in the game, Yuexi felt nostalgic. Ever since she got S-rank Valkyries, she rarely used White Comet on the home screen. This first triple-S character had accompanied her from the beginning.
Unfortunately, with more powerful Valkyries joining the team, White Comet had been relegated to be the storage guard.
"Miss Elf: Why does she call you Captain?"
"Don't Want Exams: No, no way, she only likes Mei, not some captain!"
"Want to Buy an Island: w(゚Д゚)w"
After reminiscing, Yuexi opened the supply section. Seeing the questions in the chat, she explained with a smile,
"Captain refers to us players. In the game, we are the captains of the Hyperion, and the Valkyries are our team members."
"Although the captain doesn’t appear in the main storyline, the captain is still very important!"
"Because the captain is responsible for cleaning the deck!"
At this, Yuexi made a self-deprecating joke. Among all games, only miHoYo made it this way.
“Captain? Have you washed the deck today?”
"Now, let’s do a ten-pull and see if we can get an S-rank Valkyrie. Having a strong Valkyrie early on makes the main story missions much easier."
At that moment, a blue comment flashed across the screen.
"Don't Want Exams: Isn’t Kiana enough for you? She’s so strong, why do you need other Valkyries?!!"
*Chapter Four: My Elysia Blessing, Amen!*
The lottery interface looked exactly like in her previous life: Home Supply, Expansion Supply, Precision Supply, Outfit Supply, and Dolls.
Xiyue glanced at her crystals and said softly, "Time for a ten-pull."
Thinking of this, Xiyue's eyes lit up, and she clicked the plus sign beside her crystals to see if she could spend money. As someone who receives two salaries, she wasn't short on cash and wanted to experience the thrill of being a whale.
[System not yet open for in-game purchases, please wait patiently.]
Seeing this, Xiyue showed a disappointed expression and said to her viewers, "Disappointing!"
"A game where you can't spend money is the greatest disrespect to spenders!"
She glanced at the chat and saw Kiana's message, which made her laugh unconsciously.
Remembering her professionalism, Xiyue held back her laughter and said gently, "No, no, no, just look at the names of Kiana’s Valkyrie armors."
"Don't Want Exams: Huh?"
Seeing this new bug fan, Xiyue felt a bit sorry to burst her bubble but continued, "White Comet, even if you train her, it’s in vain. Moonbeam is outdated, the Queen is out of fashion, and Ranger is unreliable. In the current bug family, Herrscher of Flamescion is the strongest!"
"This version is the Flamescion version."
"We're about to draw for the Herrscher of Flamescion—Kiana."
Hearing these words, the three viewers were collectively stunned.
The most shocked was Kiana.
Having not seen the initial PV clearly, Kiana lay on the table.
Hearing the word "Herrscher," she almost fell off her chair. As a soon-to-be D-rank Valkyrie, she knew what a Herrscher was, especially since Mei had one inside her.
Her eyes glazed over, and she muttered, "I became a Herrscher?"
She shook her head vigorously.
"Impossible, impossible, absolutely impossible."
"No one from the Kaslana family could become a Herrscher. This must be fake!"
She quickly typed,
"Impossible!"
"Kiana Kaslana is destined to be the strongest Valkyrie of Destiny, not a villainous Herrscher!"
Elysia’s reaction was calmer. She noted the attributes of the future Herrschers and knew there would be a Herrscher of Flames, which allowed her to prepare early.
Meanwhile, Raven, still a mercenary hired by World Serpent and completing missions worldwide, didn't understand much and responded with an emoji to express her shock.
"Want to Buy an Island: (:з」∠)"
Seeing Kiana’s message, Xiyue was slightly taken aback.
How does this viewer know that Kiana’s original dream was to become the strongest Valkyrie of Destiny?
Could it be?
Xiyue squinted slightly, contemplating. Although she had an idea, she wasn't sure. Initially planning to reveal why Kiana became the Flamescion, she changed her mind due to the chat.
"You’ll find out why once I clear the main storyline."
"Be patient."
Kiana, eagerly awaiting a response, pouted angrily when she heard Xiyue’s reply. She slapped the table in frustration, wanting to pull the streamer out and give her a good beating!
"This is infuriating!"
"Saying things halfway! I curse you to be single forever!"
Kiana fumed. Xiyue, unaware of Kiana’s anger, was eagerly watching the expansion supply screen. She almost drooled at the sight of Kiana’s heroic pose.
"I must say, the Herrscher of Flamescion looks really cool!"
"This is Kiana’s coolest moment."
"Besides the Herrscher of Human, no other Valkyrie can compare to the Flamescion!"
"Enough talk, let’s do a ten-pull."
Elysia smiled as she watched the stream. She was very interested in the Herrscher of Flamescion and wanted to meet her. However, when she heard the words "Herrscher of Human," she inexplicably shuddered, and a trace of panic flashed in her pink eyes.
"Don't Want Exams: Even though Kiana can’t be a Herrscher, this Kiana looks so cool!"
"This must be her as an S-rank Valkyrie!"
"Hahaha."
Kiana, excitedly watching herself, jumped up and down. She quickly ran to Mei, who was cooking, and hugged her waist, saying excitedly, "Mei, Mei, I’ll be very cool in the future!"
"Right, right? Hehe."
Mei, initially startled by Kiana’s sudden hug, couldn’t help but smile at her enthusiastic tone.
"Yes, yes, Kiana will be the coolest."
"The food is almost ready. Go call Bronya and Ms. Himeko for lunch. We still have class in the afternoon."
"Be good, Kiana."
Hearing Mei, Kiana rubbed her face against Mei’s back before returning to her seat to continue watching the magical livestream.
To Kiana, she didn’t yet understand the implications of the information Xiyue revealed. She simply found it fun.
Ignoring the flashing comments, Xiyue closed her eyes and chanted, "Firefly, Firefly, Firefly."
"Please bless me, my Elysia!"
"Amen!"
She clicked the screen. A blue Homu supply box appeared, followed by a flash of gold. Xiyue quickly clicked through to see the results.
Looking at each item individually was too torturous!
Xiyue didn’t look at the screen but focused on the chat, nervously asking, "Did I get the Flamescion?"
As soon as she asked, Elysia immediately responded, "Cutie, you got the Herrscher of Flamescion~"
"Want to Buy an Island: (✺ω✺)"
Seeing this, Xiyue’s face lit up with excitement. She looked at her other phone, smiling at the sight of the Flamescion wielding her sword.
Even though she had drawn the Flamescion in her previous life, starting with her now brought unparalleled joy.
Ignoring the three-star items, Xiyue opened the Valkyrie screen. She saw only two Valkyries available, with the rest locked.
"Though we only have two Valkyries now, I’ll get them all eventually!"
"The Queen, Rita, Herrscher of Rice, Herrscher of Sentiencd, Herrscher of Human, and more."
"We have a bright future ahead."
Xiyue couldn't contain her excitement, telling the audience. She then explained some basics, like weapons, stigmata, and other supply pools. The chat was unusually quiet, with even the usually active "Don't Want Exams" staying silent.
After the explanations, a system prompt appeared.
[First-hour livestream is about to end.]
[Three minutes remaining, please pay attention to the time.]
Hearing this, Xiyue felt reluctant. She had just gotten into the livestream groove, and an hour seemed too short!
But there was no choice. She addressed the screen regretfully, "One of the greatest charms of Honkai Impact is its ‘healing’ main storyline. These stories span ancient and modern times, covering past civilizations, ancient current civilizations, event stories, and the modern main story."
"It’s very interesting! Tomorrow, we’ll stream the main story, so stay tuned."
"Unfortunately, today’s stream ends here. I’ll miss you all."
"Goodbye, see you tomorrow~"
Chapter Five: Oh No, Did I Become a Gym Teacher?
“Darn it, the stream ended! I wanted to watch more and use it as an excuse to skip class. Boo-hoo-hoo.”
Kiana looked at the now-closed livestream with a pitiful expression. Her excuse for skipping class was gone, and the afternoon was her least favorite: cultural studies.
Meanwhile, in the previous civilization, Elysia watched as Xiyue ended the stream. Her pink eyes sparkled; although it was only an hour, she had gathered a lot of information. She needed to share it with someone.
“Who should I share this with?”
Elysia tilted her pretty face, thinking, and then a certain green-haired, taciturn doctor came to mind. Her eyes lit up, and she quickly stood up, heading to Mobius' lab. She couldn't wait to see Mobius' astonished expression!
In another part of Arc City, Raven, who had not yet re-joined World Serpent, felt indifferent about the stream ending. Her only thought about the stream was whether it could make her money. Thinking of her savings, Raven sighed deeply.
“When will I be able to buy an island?”
Then, she took out an envelope with a snake emblem from her pocket. Hearing the children’s laughter, her eyes glimmered with determination.
As for our protagonist, Xiyue, she reluctantly closed the livestream.
She wanted to stream a bit longer, at least until she completed the first chapter of the main storyline. There were too many memorable scenes in the later storylines. If her guess was correct, pushing through the main story would be very interesting.
But the system didn't allow it. It must be a certain cat system! She checked the time, threw her phone aside, stretched, and lay on her bed, unwilling to get up.
[First livestream ended, calculating results]
[Congratulations, you’ve earned 3000 crystals.]
Hearing the system’s voice, Xiyue's eyes lit up. She yawned and then opened the lottery interface, which looked similar to the supply lottery. She eyed her crystals, pondering whether to do a ten-pull or single pulls.
Not thinking for long, as a devotee of single pulls, she chose single pulls!
A flash of gold.
“Wow, a golden legend!”
[Congratulations, you’ve obtained the five-star 'Jixuanyuan' stigmata]
Stigmata?
In both the game and the storyline, stigmata played a crucial role. For example, the difference between a Valkyrie with a three-star stigmata and one with a five-star exclusive stigmata was immense!
In the story, stigmata were also a central theme. They appeared due to Honkai energy and gave the bearer the ability to harness and collect Honkai energy, becoming powerful warriors against Herrschers.
However, the chance of naturally occurring stigmata was one in a million, underscoring their value. In the ranks of Valkyries, apart from the three great families, most Valkyries had artificial stigmata. The discoverer of artificial stigmata was a pure love warrior, but that's a story for another time.
In short, this golden advantage came just in time.
Though the academy was safe, her mission was to follow Kiana and report her every move to Otto. It was a tricky task, and she needed self-defense capabilities.
With Jixuanyuan's stigmata, she was now secure.
A surge of heat passed through her back, followed by an influx of strength. Xiyue felt like she could take on a bug, but the thought quickly passed—she knew Kiana’s abnormal physique was not something a newbie with stigmata could match.
Regardless, avoiding battle was preferable.
Suddenly, Xiyue had a thought and tentatively asked the system, “System, are the viewers from the Honkai world?”
[The system cannot answer; the host must explore on her own]
Hearing this, Xiyue squinted. Her guess seemed correct: the viewers were likely from the Honkai world.
The viewer who didn't want exams was probably Kiana, given her known aversion to tests.
The one obsessed with buying an island was likely Raven.
And the fairy-like one? As an Elysia devotee, she should have known.
My goddess—Elysia!
Recalling Elysia’s playful questions during the stream, Xiyue couldn't help but smile. That was just like Elysia!
Shaking her head, Xiyue felt energized. She thought happily, “With them knowing the plot in advance, will those tragedies still happen?”
“I'm really looking forward to the next livestream~”
With that thought, she buried her head in her pillow, thinking sweetly until the alarm went off. Startled, she grabbed her phone.
Oh no, it was 1:45 PM.
“Darn, I'm going to be late!”
Xiyue jumped out of bed, quickly stripped off her pajamas, and ran to the wardrobe. She pulled out the St. Freya Academy teacher's uniform and put it on in a few seconds. She tied her hair in a ponytail, grabbed her teaching materials and test papers, and dashed out, biting into a piece of bread.
Thanks to the stigmata's boost, she reached the teaching building quickly. With five minutes to spare, she slowed her pace and walked to the classroom.
“Teacher Xiyue, please wait a moment.”
A familiar mature voice called from behind. Xiyue turned and saw red eyes and hair. Instinctively, she greeted, “Senior Himeko, what is it?”
Himeko quickly approached and put an arm around Xiyue’s shoulder, smiling, “Xiyue, could you let me take over tomorrow's class? The Valkyrie simulation exam is coming up, and I want to train them.”
Xiyue nodded, looking up at Himeko’s face with a smile. “No problem, Senior Himeko. Once I finish today's test, I'm free. You can take over tomorrow.”
Himeko tightened her arm around Xiyue and laughed heartily, “Thanks, Xiyue. I’ll treat you to a drink tomorrow.”
Xiyue had graduated from the same university as Himeko and joined the HQ as a desk worker. Later, Otto sent her to St. Freya as a spy. She met Himeko upon joining and learned that Himeko was her senior. They taught the same class, grew closer over time, and Himeko frequently borrowed her classes. Their relationship naturally became close.
St. Freya Academy wasn't an ordinary school. As a Valkyrie training academy, practical lessons were prioritized over cultural studies. In simple terms, gym class was more important than literature class.
Xiyue became the frequently absent teacher. She enjoyed the arrangement: no classes, three paychecks (including her Hyperion desk job), and an easy life!
Himeko glanced at the test papers in Xiyue's hands and asked, “Xiyue, how did our class do on the cultural exam?”
Thinking of a certain bug who always skipped her classes, Xiyue squinted and smiled, “Most did well, but Kiana Kaslana handed in a blank paper. I think she needs some tutoring. What do you think, Senior Himeko?”
“And she missed several of my classes recently.”
Xiyue feigned a troubled expression.
Himeko’s face darkened upon hearing this.
“A blank paper? Skipping classes?”
“Kiana, you’re really something.”
After a few seconds, Himeko replied with a cold tone, “I understand, Xiyue. I’ll have a serious talk with Kiana later.”
At that moment, Kiana, dragged to class by Mei, was about to doze off.
She felt a chill on her back but, seeing no teacher yet, laid her head down again and quickly fell asleep, mumbling, “Cultural studies? Even a dog wouldn’t listen!”
