Wait did Syl giving away the class levels reduce her overall level? If not then wouldn't Gramps patch the perceived bug?

Gotta ask, why not use the class crystal to take one level each of Hydromancer and Aeromancer and donate the levels to Sylvain? He could then advance them and Elementalist, or give him those INSTEAD of Elementalist, since he wasn't supposed to be that at first anyway?

That’s a great idea. But he probably does qualify for it right now and can take it on his own. The skills that would unlock for level 1 for both of them are probably already unlocked by elamentalist thought.

I mean this is probably considered an exploit that is a gray area that they may just leave in. Even if they patch in it should be after Syl gains a few levels

If every instance of a personality shares the same memories (that are separate from Syl's) then an instance in core storage could act as an instant communicator with the main instance that's out and about. Kinda like the passing notes strat, but presumably the instance in storage can actively talk to Syl and grab their attention.

Ok so when Syl gives a class level it’s a 1 to 1 trade. So giving 1 level away from lvl 30 mage would be 29mage Syl - 1mage persona but what happens when she re takes a donated class like donating a level 1 apprentice smith will it go from 1 - 20 ro 0-21, 0-20.5 or just fail all together.

Hmm personally not a huge fan of this. It’s making it too complex. And on paper weakening Syl. Now it feels like she just has enslaved minions. Minion based novels aren’t really my favorite. Oh well On the same note I’m not a fan of skill deconstruct. It’s just made the system cumbersome. But it’s better than this split personality stuff

What is the advantage for Prime Syl? It seems, on paper, to make her weaker overall by giving away portions of her power. What's the benefit? Yeah, she can have minions but why?

Yeah a one level reduction in experience at 30 is likely equivalent to several low levels at once. The math doesn't add up.

Oh this is broken... Especially if there's no exp penalties... Especially if she wanted to "Turbo level" a class on one of the personas. Give them half the levels then they both work on the same class... And she donates more levels... Even if it just converted it into progress and not full levels she'd basically be earning double experience, and she can keep the points she earned. Especially if she were... Oh I don't know... Conquering a dungeon.

I actually think the opposite. The story is finally returning to its roots without throwing away what has been earned. Also I'm going to call it now, when she eventually hits the max level in split personalities, its going to evolve into hive mind., and most importantly finally give Gramps an excuse to drop more souls into the world as slimes. Think of how many more monster species he could create if each slime went different paths... Esepcially while still connected to Syl, and her Experiment Emblem.

Holy crap the ability to give a single level of a skill is op as fuck. Also I am going to make a prediction that the uncapping bonus for this skill is the ability to take skill/class levels back from the personalities. That or there is another level of this skill above this one, called something like True hivemind that is specific to this type of situation and allows even greater flexibility.
