Solution for the nobody surrendering problem: turn on PvP. If you let them try to force each other out you don't need to do all the work. Then they can agree to draw if they want. Though maybe it wouldn't work since Lotte is involved. They could just disallow offensive spells for her? Complicates the solution a bit.

She probably thinks of them as sub categories of glyphs and they take shorter to write but still long enough for it not to be a hassle mid battle.
