Hello, it's been a long time.
I have some bad news : I can't compile the game anymore. I'm developping the game in Unreal on a laptop with a small storage (500Gb + 8Gb VRAM).

During the past few days, I have tried everything I could to optimize the memory and compilation of the game, but without success. When I compile the game, I keep getting the error: 'The paging file is too small to complete the operation,' which means I just don't have enough storage to compile the game.

On top of that, the game has become too large for my laptop (loading the project now takes 10 minutes, and the project size has grown to 100 GB), which causes a lot of lag and makes it frustrating to work on. I don’t want to give up on this game, especially after a year of work, so I’ve decided to save up some money to buy a better computer that can handle it

I want to make a small-scope game that I can finish in 2–3 months, release it on Steam for $3–4, and use the earnings to buy a better computer.

Since the current game is on pause and I will begin to work on a new game, I pause the billings for at least 1 week (so we can decide what small game I will work on and actually release the first build).

Since the current game is on hold and I’m about to start working on a new one, I’m pausing patreon billings for at least a week (so we can decide what small game I will work on and actually release the first build).

I will also create a new tier that is cheaper than the current one since the small game will have way less features than the current one.
As for what kind of game to make, I already have one idea in mind, but I’m also open to suggestions. Let me know in the comments what kind of game you’d like to play (as long as it's not too complicated to make) !

Once I gather enough ideas, I’ll create a final poll so everyone can vote on the concept for the game. I’m open to most SFW fetish themes (crush, destruction, gentle, growth, shrink, BE, AE — but not hyper), as long as the game is fun to play.

For my idea: I think it would be neat to make a 3D Pac-Man-style game with a giantess theme. Instead of ghosts, there would be giantesses (or other kaiju) trying to step on you (without gore), and your goal would be to grow as big as possible by eating cakes that replace the dots."

Does this mean the Kaiju with size absorption and butt smash stuff won't be added?

How about a building battle. you have to make it too the roof before the giantess gets too big for the building so you have to fight your way past enemies to get to the roof to deliver a antidote for the growing giantess but it must be delivered to a part of the upper body? I dunno. Simple game wise. I wouldn't even go the GTS route. I would recommend building something fun and enjoyable, maybe challenging, catchy if you have the inspiration for it. But a cash grab on steam of all places sounds like a terrible idea. Not only does steam take somewhere between 40-60% of your revenue. (I forget if its the low or the high end of that estimate) ALSO You're looking to a niche market. Not Ideal. It sounds like your project isn't getting enough of it loaded into RAM and maybe you're running less than M.2 speeds on the laptop. But, I may be wrong. A desktop is a better environment to develop from. In that I agree. But burning through another project doesn't seem like the play here IMHO. A new rig is stupid expensive due to inflation. I might suggest a few other options like seeing who can donate parts or a gofundme and or a community chat application where people can plan out a way to get you what you need. Point is that $4 turns into 1000 if you're lucky and 500 ppl buy your game and that barely covers the cost of a decent-ish graphics card. While there is the used market, that comes with its own risks.

Erm no. They will be added in the future, just that now the game is literally bigger than his whole laptop storage size lol. So he has to save or earn some money to buy bigger pc for a time being

It's very frustrating that you have to stop this project due to problems like this, but don't worry, patience is a good ally. The idea of the Pac-Man game is good, I like it and I would gladly support you in that project.
