Hulk Hogan as Santa Claus in 1996. Jake has found the perfect movie to torture Julian and Liv with. Somehow he finds an ally in Travis. Merry Christmas to the sickos.

Christmas movie episodes are some of my favorites I am being so serious

Elberik

Who else knew about this movie because of Spoony's review?

Grease Witherspoon

The only movie that I've found more enjoyable to watch alone and drink in a deep depression than with friends who are able to confirm how bad it is

Andrew Lenahan

You guys should watch Hot Frosty

Kelley Kloncz

You guys gotta check out the nephilim death squad podcast they r so pilled and idiotic

bigphoton

The best, worst Christmas movie ever is Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. It's got a 10 year old Pia Zadora drenched in green makeup, and wearing a toilet plunger on her head, and the first nude film appearance by Mrs. Claus. OK, she's not nude, but there is a cardboard robot. I guarantee if you watch this movie you'll turn into a newt. (But you'll get better.)

Laura Walsh

Check out Cosmic Christmas or the Raccoons Christmas for some real weirdness

Geoffrey A Hill

The purpose of the thumbprint is to deter people from trading or selling stolen goods. Pawn shops used to do it, too.

hugo de bugré

Happy Christmas y’all maybe Wag the Dog next year?

Athena Alcidemos

So, Hulk Hogan plays an orphan who thinks he's Santa and beats up naughty people? Man, the "Silent Night, Deadly Night" sequels got WEIRD.

Andrew Lenahan

What is the source behind calling Mila Kunis a Zionist, Julian? Google is not being fruitful here

Matt Graber

Don Stark is not dead, I actually had the pleasure of directing him in the stage reading of a play about seven or eight years ago, he’s a really nice and fun guy

ierc

Y'all should continue the Hulk Hogan theme and do the 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain from '98

Catgoblin

Hope you guys have a great Christmas period and I appreciate all the hard work you do.

lady8jane

So wait ... they don't know the combination for the vault, but are only missing the last number. What is preventing them from just ... trying 10 times?

alli moulton

I love movie night

Stephen Wall

Merry Christmas, and fuck you Jake.

alli moulton

Well if the last number was 88, they would have had to try up to 100 times

Chris Brandon

Oh, Shit! Now I have to watch both Cop Dog and Zombie Hamlet.

HonestEd

I don’t think I needed a blow by blow podcast of why a bad movie is bad, here’s hoping the next episode is good

Natasha Ernst

23&me told me I was part of the tribe. 1920s Vienna was a kinda convert or leave place, so my great grands did before my grandmother was born, but then left entirely in 1939. Family story was we were Catholics who didn’t like Hitler, a la Sound of Music, but really we were recent converts who never found America safe enough to tell the full story. Tracks

dsjordan

You young guys should know the labor unions abandoned the Democrats in 1984 and then the unions came out against Clinton's national healthcare plan in 1994

Wyatt Evert

Don Stark worked with Mila Kunis on That 70s Show.

Sarah Wolf

Poor Ed Begley jr! If my math is correct, HE WAS SOBER when making this. It must have been a fucking nightmare for him.

Sarah Wolf

Sooooooo….. the orphans were going to essentially be turned into mole children? I’m now reimagining this movie with Jim Caviezel in Hulk’s role.

Brian Sheppard

Y'all forgot about Elves? That movie's magical and is my favorite Christmas movie about cocaine, Santa chain smoking while running, foul mouthed small children, and nazis making elf supersoldiers.

Charlie L

This is such a great episode, I just watched this movie recently. Jake, you would be so incredible on Red Letter Media's Best of the Worst!

Ryan Post

"Dome-estically" says Jake (he talks about lot)

Noah Z

“I have to go meet Nick at midnight” is a favorite quote of mine thanks to Jake mentioning it on at least one past episode

hhhhhm

This episode has been great company during my insomnia. Thanks QAA. I enjoyed this

Johanna

Completely off topic but I would fully support anyone storming the capitol in Jan 😊 (Please don't tell the FBI or the Swedish police abt my stance)

Aaron

No Holds Barred was written by Hogan and Vince McMahon over a weekend in a hotel room. Also Hogan rated out Jesse Ventura's attempt to unionize the WWF in the 80s. He fucking sucks and the second I turned 10 I realized how garbage he was.

Lo

Never apologize Jake, you're all fantastic and I'm always happy when I get to spend time with you! 💖

Chloe Showalter

With the Ed Begley jr mention, I feel like they should take a detour into watching Transylvania 6-5000

brian burke

cool idea. are you from sweden? if so thats cool that they have fans in sweden. im brian from illinois USA there are some cool films, music etc from sweden i like alot and would love to find out more about but hard to find translations. do you know of the movie ANIARA?

brian burke

great show again, im 46 and i also was a wwf fan in the 1980s, but i also remember the hulk hogan rock n wrestling cartoon show. i liked that most of all, but looking back now it is pretty lame, but i guess thats nostalgia, but when i look back at transformers, ghostbusters cartoon and some others they dont seem as lame, they are still well done. so it varies.

Brad Plumb

We need a supercut of every time Jake has fucked up the outro

batlock666

Hulk Hogan is a jabroni.

Johanna

Yes! I watched the movie quite recently, it's based on a book by a famous Swedish author (famous in Sweden 😉) Moa Martinsson

Johanna

Also, I love this podcast! I've been a listener since almost the beginning - whwn my dad went down the rabbit hole 😊

nownotmyrealname

I was wondering if his character spoke through the TVs so he could avoid being on set with Hulk

psidew

whenever you go to trade in a console at gamestop they make you climb into a weird jacuzzi with a fire underneath it and they start cutting pieces of carrots and other vegetables into the water

Steven Kirk

Great episode. Besides being a scab, Hulk Hogan is so racist he banned Du rags from being worn in his shitty restaurant.

sablav

Liv Agar

TheDeadman

I don't think you're allowed to say GOON anymore.

Cate Kneale

This is Hulk Hogan's Jacob's Ladder but also the 90s was the USA's Jacob's Ladder is my conclusion after listening to this episode.

Brant

I know I’m kind of outing Julian for not cutting this lol but Jake, you are great and funny and full of whimsy, and we love to listen to you. You getting gently ribbed is also really entertaining and I hope you don’t take it to heart. Keep doing what you’re doing and know we have your back

Schwartz666

Found it on YT! Definitely subjecting my family to this on Xmas.. 🤘🏻🎅 https://youtu.be/EWyh6_-qFrw

Melissa Humbert

"I rip it fom YouTube in 340p." Literally just did a spit take!

Schwartz666

Goddamn, I just remembered my favorite shitty Hulk movie from the 90s.. "Suburban Commando" starring Christopher Lloyd! Never realized the Undertaker was one of the bounty hunters til just now. Also, the Alien creature was badass.. very Predator-esque.

Samantha Miller

Never lose confidence, Jake. We are weird little freaks who would listen to hours upon hours of Hulk Hogan movie night content hosted by you specifically.

Brent

Why leave in the first mention of the fast food joint and then bleep all of the others? What is happening? Am I insane?

Chloe Showalter

There used to be a ton of sex jokes in kids movies. In the master of disguise Dana carvey plays an overly sexual older woman who sexually harasses the villain. Her name is Gammy Num Nums.

What's wild about the Hogan character's having branded products as a joke is this film came out one year after the massive, embarrassing failure of Pastamania, Hogan's own brand of fast-food pasta restaurant. And of course all the shitty merchandise during the heights of Hulkamania in general. If it was anyone else but Hogan, I'd say it's meant to be self-deprecating, but...

wc

title alone is titillating me

John Brandkamp

I'm so damned for enjoying this.

Melissa Humbert

The MST3K version is great! They also did a riff on a very weird Mexican movie called Santa Claus, where Santa battles demons.

bigphoton

Yes, for sure. MST3K did an excellent roast of both films. Hilarious. I'm a big fan of the show.

Emmyghoul

I am just remembering how ungodly orange Hulk was when I met him at the radio music awards in... 2004? Las Vegas as he was promoting his daughter Brook's album. He was very nice to me, but soooooooo orange!!!

augustburnsbread

definitely thought "santa with muscles" was going to be an episode about Luigi

Sparky

How did you forget "Elves" from last year

Brian Sheppard

I had a Hulkamania weight lifting set (like 8 lbs) that came with a motivational tape with bad 80s rock and Hulk tells you "come on little hulkster, you can do it" and "Don't do drugs." I'm almost 48, built like a noodle, and think drugs are fun as fuck. I think I'm entitled to compensation. I'm also entitled to compensation for being reminded of this movie which 2 of my best awful friends subjected me to years ago.

Brian Sheppard

So this movie is the origin story for Weezer's "Troublemaker" and Jake missed it???

E Lyons

OK wow. I'm hung up on the concept of "richest man in ten states." Like, which ten? Is "I'm a heart breaker, I'm a trouble maker" a slant, baffling reference to Full Metal Jacket, or is life taker/heartbreaker just a general purpose military-ism? Either way wild choice. I fast-motion melted like an Indiana Jones villain when Liv said "I wasn't alive in this period." 9/11 good ep.

Chris Coleman

That Rosie & The Originals song has stayed with me since I first heard it - about 40 years ago. My late musician friend Nikki first played it me - he loved it - as I learned so to do, in time. The longer version has a wonderfully tuneless saxophone break too….. https://youtu.be/9xm3qnh1sck?si=yB-hR48_lV3-VVmf Great episode, encore une fois.

Byron Porter

The fighting domestic help scene is a nod to Clouseau & Kato https://youtu.be/uk_2-ib3ENc?si=5StuK9CPox6_Lw5d

Emily Freilinger

SPOW-KAN. I’m taking time out to let Jake know how you pronounce Spokane. Does not rhyme with cocaine, would be funnier if it did

Liam Harte

Can we compare notes? A native of the city taught me to swallow the O and put a lot of emphasis on the second syllable, so that it comes out “Sp’KAN.” Am I doing it wrong?

Cordelia Reagan

My favorite part was Jake saying “Don-“

Andrew Mahalik

dude…the breakfast spot I go to was playing this on vhs yesterday😭

Alyssha Timm

Watching this dogshit now with my husband. Cannot believe Travis enjoyed this lmao.

Guy B.

Imagine it in French dubbing : "Monsieur Papa... ou Quand le Père Noël s'en mêle" ... saw it on Gulli for sure 😭

Keith Calleja

How did you not mention that Clayton was Garrett Morris?

Jamie Jarvie

"i need to go meet nick at midnight" is the new "i have heard the chimes at midnight"
