I DO think it probably IS much harder to push through left-leaning legislation than right? Because BOTH parties are controlled by billionaire donors who absolutely don't want that and will do everything in their power to get in the way. I don't think Donald Trump faces the same resistance someone like Bernie would have. Or even Biden, Kamala, Hillary. But it doesn't mean they can do NOTHING. My therapist offered me a thoughtful analogy to help me understand my own pilled mom; she (therapist) compared the desire for stability and chaos in persons who were living a fairly normal, comfortable life versus those who are incarcerated for life. The fairly comfortable folks - they are pro stability, as it maintains their comfort. The people who are in prison for life - they desire chaos, as it’s the only means to any change to their circumstances. She made the point that, if you’re serving a life sentence, you might be hoping for a nuclear war, as that kind of society breaking event could offer you a chance to not be in prison for life. It hit me in the sense that the average American is so economically oppressed, like of course they (we) crave some chaos to spark a change that otherwise doesn’t seem possible. Jake made this point, and it’s not to excuse the bloodthirst of those who are pilled, (I’m broke and not pilled, as far as I know) but it helped me have a shred of empathy for those like my mom, who is far far gone.

My understanding is he was accidentally shot by an inexperienced secret service agent after the cars braked suddenly when Oswald started firing. Rather than admit the stuff up they fudged a few details. The coverup is real the conspiracy isn’t. It’s unlikely there is much to find in the official documentation. Oswald was a lone nut, he wasn’t reliable enough to be anyone’s chosen patsy let alone shooter.

Talking of Tulsi Gabbard's cult, something has been concerning me more as time has gone on. And that is the weird total sandbagging by most the media and even left wing political entertainment shows like the daily show of its existence and her connections to it. They only mention "Putin!" Or "Assad!" but never, not once have I seen a hint or even subtle implication to the science of Identity cult. Plus the leader Chris Butler has been removing photos and info about himself online the last year or so since her nomination. And when I try bringing it up around other political forums I ALSO get sandbagged as if I just don't exist. Wtf is going on? ("Am I the only asshole who gives a fuck about the cults" John Goodman Big Lebowski meme here) -- Julian, if you're still around, I know you're good for them: I'll accept any theory at this point, anything that doesn't make me feel like I'm losing my goddamn mind. That totally sucks. I can't believe how easily we (collectively) capitulated to this pressure from bosses and governments. People should mask because service industry folk work there and have no choice what is brought in. Can you get together with other staff who you think might be sympathetic to the idea and have a plan to get some HEPA filtration on the go at work? "Should be" the role of your boss, but clearly almost none care, or have been led to believe it's not a problem. Even after at least 5 infections it is a good idea to try limit the number of future infections you get, knowing what is known about this pathogen.

I have been hiding from the news. I have been an attorney for 16 years and the news dump from 2016-2020 literally ended my career. I lost such faith in our institutions that I could not get myself to do anything. Listening to this episode has spiraled me into a deeply fucked up place.
