I miss the research status, it really gave him an edge on how to progress and some expectation from us instead of convenient (or not) perks on level up. Speaking of which, leveling is getting slow, I wonder what gives him exp?

research's interrupted by the trade blockage. something that's insinuated in earlier chapters is that higher tier research requires materials which need to be acquired, but I didn't want to go into the minutae of mentioning all of them... levelling generally comes from fighting big things & doing big things & researching big things. contribution from crushing tiny demon insects ain't gonna be much :P
