what they gonna solve the entire series plus the sequel in the hells? fighting this and even future bosses all at once? Rowan I think it's still best you listen to the guy who KNOWS what's up not make to enthusiastic plans for the future lmao... Thanks for the chapter! Honestly i can't wait for Lucian to finally reveal more of what he did for the world to the public it's getting a bit exasperating how everyone hates him and simultaneously celebrates like crazy the achievements of "Duke Cyril" or "the Heavenwatch Monestary" or "the student ambassadors" lol

John

Thanks!

Thanks for the chapter boss!

While Lucian has his foreknowledge, deep understanding of combat, and the unique magical powers he's grabbed, he really does lack Rowan's protagonist energy. Rowan has the attitude and skill to inspire and lead the other student ambassadors. And even if he lacks a full understanding on exactly what going on the offensive will mean, I feel like he'll be able to adapt. Or, at the very least, grow from the experience. I meant to say this last chapter, but trying to keep Aurelia and Lydia seperate while living in the same house is never going to work. The monastics guarding Aurelia all probably still see her as a sister. They won't let her run off or have contact with outsiders for her own good, but I don't see them stepping in to stop Aurelia from just talking with Lydia. And I bet Aurelia has decent chances of sinking her claws into Lydia. It's basically a repeat of what Aurelia did in Heavenwatch. A secluded domestic setting, and trying to endear herself to an older woman. I bet she can get Lydia treating her like the daughter Lydia always wanted within a weak. The only question is, will Aurelia use that position as a way to prove her usefulness to Lucian, or as a tool against him? I hope Lucian had some time to run around and gather the demonic energy from the purge before it all disippated. His mark can probably cast spells faster than he can, not to mention the permanent buffs it can give him. Best to unlock all the benifits early, even if he'll have plenty more demons to harvest energy from later.

We've gotten some more insight into the interaction between Formless Essence and blessings. It looks like, whatever fuels blessings, Essence is simply incapable of mimicking. But it does seem capable of temporarily copying the structure of a blessing, and imparting that fuel and copied structure to another person. The limit here is only that fuel. Now, the question of stats from blessings. Does granting stats also consume some sort of fuel, or does a person only need the structure? If there is a fuel, then Lucian must lose that fuel in order to grant it to others. Not very good in combat, but if he can store the fuel with the spell in a scroll, he can just lose all his buffs and abilities during downtime, so he can grant it to others when they need it. But if the stats don't require any fuel, then Lucian is only limited by how fast he can cast the spell. Lets consider a spell that grants the stats from a blessing to another person for one hour. If Lucian can cast it twenty times per hour, he can continuously grant twenty people those stats. A key factor here seems to be the necessity of a spell as a transmission vector. I think Lucian needs a cheap, fast spell he can cast on other people, that will stick to them as long as possible. The spell should act as a container for the stats, and as long as the spell is active, the target will continue receiving the benefits. When Rowan received the titan's heart blessing through that healing spell, it instantly activated, with no input from Rowan. Just like the healing spell instantly took effect. Maybe if there was a spell with a longer duration that only activated on the command of the recipient, whoever Lucian granted the blessing to could hold onto it, and choose for themselves when to activate it. Or they can just store it in scrolls, and give everyone a couple, so they can rip them when they need it. Finally, I wonder if the way that purified essence grants stats is the same as with blessings? Could Formless Essence copy the structure of purified essence, and pass it to someone else through a spell? How would the fuel issue with blessings play out with purified essence?
