I actually believe that Algard wasn't the one who killed the emperor, because that would be too easy, but why the hell was he covered in blood? And why did the demons stab instead of blugeon the emperor to death? Maybe it was just easier. Getting Algard not to start a war sounds like it's going to be an absolute pain. There might just be a civil war no matter what, with nobles splitting to support either him or Denzel, regardless of what anyone does. I wonder how the new group the student ambassadors are forming will work? Will Lucian still be hiding from them? No way the group can function if most of the members are being kept in the dark on all the important information. At the very least, they need to know about the Formless Essence. But can they be trusted to get over their hatred for Lucian? I wonder if Lucian can infuse magic into his internal energy, to give it elemental effects? Or maybe trying that will just make him injure himself. Best to be careful, or use future vision beforehand. And beyond just turning into a divine beast, I wonder how far Lucian can go as a blue mage? There must be plenty of other beast skills out there. Not that they are all worth learning, but some must be. But would Lucian even be able to learn those ones? So far, he's had first hand experience with all the other powers he's copied.

If Lucian can master beast transformation of any kind potentially, I’m curious to see if he can do so in human form. Assuming the mortal form of the True Divine Beast as a disguise when storming the Hells or act proxy as True Divine Beast. Turn a half joke of wanting to keep that body earlier into reality. Maybe not outright copy, but taking in its prominent holy features like white silky hair? This would further his legitimacy to be future lord of the Monastery after taking both beast and mortal forms on top of his pure affinity, no? lol he would finally be able to contest Brother Pell’s luscious locks. Though that is only a fun afterthought. Evolving into any beast that he can is probably a more important priority.

I think the time-skip to soul damage repair complete, "oopsies nope where'd the portals go" to Hells Invasion, time-skip to just after "murder of character-developed but boring bad guy by a new audacious bad guy", and "oh hey wanna see a trick" new-power-dangling are too many abrupt and briefly delivered plot arc notes for one chapter. While I am glad some of these plot arcs are being nipped in the bud, the opening of doors to Beast Mode Protagonist and Wicked Emperor II (cynical bully edition) feel like they're just going to detract from plot resolution of the threads that are already open. These, and the open-ended quests for blessings (now let's hunt 8 dragons) seem like a way to add AI-slop filler fight chapters and drag this story out for Patreon income. Please don't do that. You are perilously close to abandoning what made this story interesting. If this story ignores the plague cure, murder trial, school education, family conflict, international relations, demonic motivations, and most of all the *working toward reputation redemption and interpersonal forgiveness* [IN THE TITLE] plot lines to instead begin having steaming piles of AI-slop "OP protagonist action" chapters with a "new blessing attained" notification as dopaminergic payoff, I'll never see how the main storyline ends because I'll stop reading.

I agree with the commenter that's concerned about the story direction. My trust in Nemobrosus' process got severely shaken when he gave up on the previos story mid-way and ended up making the latter part sound like a summary more than an actual story. It does look like this story too is being setup for a major shuffle, and I'm not at all excited about the direction. I'll stick around, but I'm side-eying what's happening. Please don't jump over to a yet another project after half-assing this one. That would establish a pattern, and destroy any future project's credibility.

Probably a bunch of optional end game bosses. They are probably good for loot, training, and gaining fame, during this brief break they have.

I wonder how the first emperor is controlling so many demons. Many of them aren't intelligent, but they follow orders well enough. Now that Lucian has so much magical freedom, could he learn a method for controlling demons as well? With greater threats lurking deep in the hells, it might be a good idea to not just destroy the first emperor's forces, but to try and coopt them as an expendable force. But I think Lucian needs more stats before that happens.
