Interesting. I thought they would touch on the subject of Lucian’s high affinity from the experiment not only just his physical afflictions. Maybe next trial? And here I was worried that Lydia would get manipulated by Aurelia back then. Lydia is really a monster of her own making I’m torn between who’s the best girl Cate or Miriam

It was obvious no? Its utterly laughable to truly think a "good person" could just be "a mere victim of cyrils schemes" in Lydia's position... No I was convinced she was JUST as horrible as him, just less RECENTLY horrible because Cyril took her "out of commission"... I actually assume he "Drugged and dragged her off" AFTER she crippled Lucian and Cate as a "retaliation" I'm pretty sure...

Yeah... Seems I was indeed right to be VERY Leery about Lydia's "testimony"... I mean even in a hardcore patriarchal Society... How was it EVER a "possibility" that the "Cousin, wife and Duchess of Cyril and also a fairly powerful mage in her own right" got "completely used, outplayed, dominated and forced into ALL of the schemes of Cyril as a weak victim bystander"??? I honestly would hope if at the END of the Trial Lucian find whatever that Cult is... Brings their contact in and has him testify: "Yo actually the Duchess wanted us to cripple her kids and the Duke just helped covered it up! We from the heavenly Body Cult are ultimately grateful for both of their Contributions! I takes a lot to make such a sacrifice of owns own children in the service of divine providence" (or some similar worded cultist drivel exposing both of their evils) And then they can both be locked up/executed together... (depending on the laws and punishments here) I'm usually not pro death penalty... But fuck these two are so DANGEROUSLY Powerful AND Sociopathic I really can see in some ways little other option. THEORETICALLY they COULD be "used" but for Lucian would need to FULLY CONTROL them, which I honestly never see happening. Lydia is too much a sociopathic creature of whimsy and excessive indulgence, she'd only follow until the next thing caught her attention and she'd then commit ANY atrocity to get that "new Shiny"... Meanwhile Cyril is too broken... I don't think he can recover from having his whole "self made up and perceives identity" shattered... He would have to essentially except that he is a "disgusting villain who almost NEVER did ANY actual good" AND then come to the conclusion "Now I need to submit to lucian to let him use me as best as he's able to salvage as much of the situation as possible". Yeah I don't see either of them being useful after this.

nah I mean with how Cyril was and the one Flashback it was all but confirmed very early on, that Lydia was cut from exactly the same sociopathic evil cloth. Also I mean why touch on the topic of the affinity at all? They all know now they did a blood ritual... I wager Lucian will NOT want that topic brought up... Because Both Lydia AND Cyril KNOW it did NOT come from them... This means... much better to just NOT mention it at all let the other huge sweeping revelations end cyril. And figure out a way to deal with Lydia too... Either by subduing her, imprisoning her or find some other way how her obviously insane ambitions do not resurface as a threat... I imagine her scheme to "Sacrifice my childrens talents to the cult and crippling them in the process" also came from a starting point of "I just wanna go to a trip on X/Y/Z"... She is dangerously bored... And potentially if circumstances align BADLY she might be even more of a threat than Cyril is... because while he's the DIRECT and most RECENT threat between the two, Lydia is WAY more unpredictable.
