im not a fan of this fight, killing something because its evil or a threat is one thing but this is just murder hoboing. It boils down to killing an animal that has done no harm from the stories context because its in the way . The sociopathic line is the worst of it imagine your sleeping in your bed then someone stabs you in the eye and calls you a sociopath because your mad about it

No, in this case it is like preventive maintenance, preventing a catastrophe waiting to happen. Same reason basically everyone living in the area where wolves are active again want them to be shot, despite politicians and city folk trying to claim wolves are good for the environment. Wolves kill domesticated animals, including pets, and have attacked hikers and children. Not all wolves do, but it is not worth the risk, because human lives and I would argue also the lives of useful domesticated animals like sheep or dogs are worth much more. So if there is no way to make sure there is no way they harm humans, kill them all. Wyrms seem to be a tad more dangerous than wolves, and not sentient enough to guarantee a lasting peace like with the remaining dragons.

I appreciate Aurelia's selfishness. She's keeping to her roots. I've been wondering about that transformation instinct that monastics have. Seemingly, there is something that they have from their lineage that Lucian doesn't, and this component automatically guides the transformation. Maybe it's just a complex technique, and Lucian could copy it with his Essence, if he had enough skill, and knew what he was doing. Or maybe it's just something that Formless Essence can not truly copy. Anyway, when it comes to Lucian needing to infuse the technique with energy that has an instinct to guide it, my best guess is that he could infuse it with his Draconic Aspect. It seems like the sort of thing that would know how to turn into a dragon. Maybe other types of energy would work? Maybe each magic element has its own transformation, and internal, demonic, and divine might have their own too. But Lucian doesn't even have real magic or internal energy anymore. I'm thinking that only a dragon transformation will work. His Formless Essence will probably stop him if he tries to pull off a technique that will kill him. Or maybe its safer to use his blessing to peek into the future, to find out what works, and avoid anything that might kill him. It would be fun to see Lucian turned into the team bus. Have them all load him up with their gear, and ride him around. Have him learn what its like for all those poor divine beasts.
