Saddy Storm

BDSM lesssgoooo

I hope the process doesn't involve melting Lucian's flesh to the metal. But I'm pretty sure that can be healed, anyway. Also, Brutus would probably be really jealous if Lucian manages to get adamantium armor that buffs stats by a huge amount, at the cost of hurting the user. Lots of dramatic potential and self sacrifice there. What's the trick here? Will Lucian be defeating the Golemancer on this visit? Perhaps there is some way to steal the demon's magic with Formless Essence, and trap the Golemancer in the armor? But Lucian first needs to see the magic in action. Or is the plan for Lucian to just trick the demon into thinking he has full control, until he has a way to truly defeat him?

Still confused on what makes Lucian a “hollowed” like the Golemancer. Is Lucian not “hollowed” but the Golemancer thinks he is because Lucian’s formless essence gives off the appearance of being “hollowed”? My confusion stems from the first chapter when they meet, the Golemancer talking about how to be hallowed you need to “close off all other paths” or something, which isn’t the case with the formless essence, right? I’m assuming I’m missing or conflating something here.

Pretty sure it was stated that Lucian got hollowed when he was pawned off to the Heavenly Body cult by his mother—an entity that we're definitely going to see in the future as a major plot point.

We know that the citadel & all its golems will turn inert upon the Golemancer's death, so that can't happen, and solving the problem this early seems a bit cheap. There's obviously a plan Lucian has, but it's not obvious, and we don't know if it's immediate. Personally, I think there's too much drama potential to skip the bond mail on Lucian. It would be awesome to see the reactions of some characters to what Lucian does. The Dragonwarden would be especially tragic, I'd think, if he saw him in it.

Ty for the chapter🫡

This was one of the ways to sow it. > “show it.”

Lucian: I want adamantly claws. Golemancer: That can be arranged

So, maybe Lucian was the one messing with the golems, not Belcourt? He was talking about how, even though his plan was risky, he could test it ahead of time. On the way to the third meal, he also says that he confirmed the plan. All signs point to Lucian testing his Formless Essence on the golems, as part of his plan. But why did the Golemancer think Belcourt did it?
