I've never watched this so it was great (and unnerving) to watch it along with you. I have watched the show called Hannibal, though - the one you mentioned in your commentary. In the future, I hope you react to it or just watch it on your own. The first two seasons are brilliant. It would be great to watch you react to it especially as you have just watched this movie.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll consider it, but probably after watching the other movies in this series

Makes you realize how much we rely on cell phones!! (May I use your phone?) A very concise horror thriller (and one that I actually enjoy!)

Another good trans film: Trans America (although the actress was one of the ones buying college entrance to college!!)

Loved your analysis at the end. The character Buffalo Bill was inspired by serial killer Ed Gein. However neither Buffalo Bill or Ed Gein were transexual or transgendered as Hannibal mentioned. Bill was just posing as one. He suffered from mental illness and was much more complicated than the film’s portrayal. His psychosis is explained better in the book. There was still controversy after the film’s release including an LGBT protest at the Oscars. But the actor who played Buffalo Bill deliberately portrayed the character as non-transgendered amidst concerns from the director who was worried on set that it might be misinterpreted. His portrayal was actually intended to be that of a homophobic heterosexual man but was misperceived.
