Minkyung definitely knows that Baekhyun is Hyeonji’s ex. She’s close to her, and that’s why she said in the kitchen, “Your ex will be heartbroken.” On a side note, Minkyung must come from a wealthy family — she only wears high-end brands, so she probably grew up well off. Yoosik also wears very expensive clothes. I don’t think money is a factor in their relationship at all. They’ve also been on a lot of trips abroad together. I think Yoosik’s priority is his career and nothing else. If he gets into a relationship with someone new, nothing will change, and he’ll repeat the same patterns. He’s clearly attracted to Hyeonji, but their dates have no substance — they talk about nothing meaningful. Their connection is mostly physical. The issue is that they’re not compatible. He seems like the avoidant type, based on everything Minkyung said and his behavior (in the chat room she mentioned to her date that he avoids talking about problems). He also clearly rejected Jihyun’s date request by changing the subject. Hyeonji, on the other hand, is someone who likes to face problems head-on and talk them through for hours until the other person understands. I don’t see Yoosik behaving with her the way Baekhyun does — he’s extremely patient and quick to apologize and explain his thoughts. Once the initial physical attraction fades, Yoosik and Hyeonji would probably go on a few dates after the show and then realize they want different things in life. The irony is that both women who are interested in Yoosik are at an age where they’re seriously thinking about marriage. My predictions for the endgame couples: Wonkyu & Jihyun: I think they’ll get back together after talking honestly. The ex room will probably be the deciding factor. Yoosik & Hyeonji: I hope Yoosik clearly tells Jihyun that he likes someone else. It’s obvious — he's just comfortable with her. He already made up his mind about Hyeonji, and nothing will change that. As for Hyeonji, she still likes Baekhyun and will never admit it. She even said in the talking room that her deciding factor is her ex — if he tells her he wants to get back together, she’ll say yes without hesitation. But that won’t happen until the very end. I’m curious how things will shift after the ex reveal. Baek’s best friend is Yoosik, and Hyeonji’s closest friend is Minkyung. The funny part is that they already know everything. Yoonnyeong & Baek: We haven’t seen her ex yet, and we all know how everything can change once that happens. Baek still likes Hyeonji — he keeps mentioning her in interviews. Right now he’s trying really hard to be with someone new and deny his feelings. I think he’ll regret it during the final ex date, especially after seeing Hyeonji with Yoosik, but by then it will be too late.

I feel like I'm in the minority here, but I feel like Minkyung and Yoosik's relationship ran it's course. They got together during high school and stayed together despite going to different universities. I think what they value and what they want out of their future is no longer the same which should be expected considering your early 20s is where you explore, develop your identity, and understand what you want in your life. What's not explicitly spoken about in this show is that's likely the root cause for what led to the breakup/exploration of their careers. Most high school relationships don't last for that reason, so honestly, I am actually surprised they made it this long.

Re: Woojin. While I agree he shouldn’t have come in so hot, I think we could all see he was getting close to his breaking point. After an entire week of Jiyeon openly telling people she doesn’t care about her ex—right in front of Woojin—and considering that he had just told her the night before that he might still have lingering feelings and was trying to sort them out, it’s understandable why this became a big deal for him. Watching her pursue someone else on top of everything else that happened throughout the week likely made him feel she was being inconsiderate of his feelings.

I’ve also suspected MinKyung is from a wealthy family, but I did not pin YooSik to be as well, but yeah he does have some expensive clothes. Maybe he wants to focus on his career to prove that he’s more than his family’s money then, otherwise I don’t know why he’s trying to work so hard to the point where he’s kind of neglecting MinKyung. But yeah I cannot see him and HyeonJi working out in the long term because of their communication styles. Maybe I’m too optimistic about JiHyeon and YooSik but I feel like they’re more than just comfortable… I think he’s still deciding between the two women and then going to stick to one of them for the rest of the show. And your predictions make perfect sense! Curious if they will work out that way

Maple Dragon Reacts!

I do think that makes sense. But I guess going off of the emotions, it feels like they’re not done with each other. But logically yeah their relationship has run its course. But if they choose to sacrifice for their relationship… then things might change

I don’t think he’s wrong for being upset, but just being drunk and exploding is definitely not the way to go. I think JiYeon just made it super clear that she has no intention to get back together so that he wouldn’t waste his time trying to win her back. And while not everyone needs to agree with the way she went about it, there definitely could have been a better way for him to handle it. But I also feel like it’s a cultural difference as well, as he might see this as disrespectful, but for me at least I just see it more as emotionally callous. Like I feel he feels more anger than he does hurt, which shows where he sees the problem with her actions. (Not out of pain but out of pride) at least that’s what it seems like

Jiyeon literally wearing wonkyu's t-shirt to ex room is the most inconsiderate thing a participant has done in all 4 seasons. Lets forget about woojin and think about jihyun , jiyeon basically stole that shirt by forcing drunken wonkyu to get that shirt, he didn't want to give it to her throughout, You can see it on their interaction where he is like did you really take it? its precious to me Woojin was drunk and apologised immediately after , jiyeon is literally doing too much.

Maple Dragon Reacts!

Interesting. I don’t remember that interaction at all, between WonKyu and JiYeon. Maybe was too focused on other things going on, but I guess from my personal point of view, I didn’t think it was a big deal because people borrow clothes from other people all the time, of course JiYeon’s intention is to say “I choose WonKyu” but to other people it would probably be inconspicuous (other than JiHyeon who noticed in the preview) But plenty of girls borrow other guy’s clothes in other seasons and shows so I didn’t think it was a huge deal. Perhaps in those context they borrowed it and returned it within an episode or two, but maybe JiYeon intends to keep it for longer, idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ E.g. NaYeon in season 2 borrows Tae-I’s jacket, YunNyeong in this season borrows YooSik’s jacket, but it’s not a big deal because producers don’t make it a huge deal. (You can argue that she didn’t do it in front of her ex but what difference does it make? She’s wearing it in front of MinKyung so she can get jealous) all I mean to say is that I think it’s a key point but I don’t think it’s the most disrespectful thing that’s ever happened. If anything, WooJin’s outburst in front of WonKyu was worse, but I don’t blame him because he was under the influence, but he literally stormed in like he owned the place.
