I was driving while listening to this and almost hit a deer on the highway while going 65 mph. Luckily, I stopped in time and no cars, people, or deer were harmed. This show has put gas in my hacking engines more times than I can count (or maybe they’re Japanese compliments??). Since I graduated with my MA in 2020 I haven’t had many conversations with other writers/filmmakers, which in itself I think tends to starve the creative part of my brain — so many good ideas come out of random conversations — but it’s also just such a relief to hear from other creatives (the questioner included) that I’m not the only one who loses steam. Cthulhu is such a fun system to listen to. But the real terrifying horror of season three so far is my codependent ass worrying about how Anthony may or may not be feeling about his change of role. My hunch is that this is exactly what he wanted: a break after six years of DMing. Anthony’s response to the first listener question lets me know he’s doing just fine.
