Lena During

I might have been reading too much grimdark recently but: what if she does not manage to actually safe humanity? What if the ultimate choice she has to make is between Eternia and humanity? I can see her try to preserve the planet over humanity if the other chosen force her to actually make that choice.

My deepest hope is that Apophagorga and Mirian team up to obliterate the Akanan sorcerer elite and permanently cripple the Akanan ability to wage war.

How though...? Maybe she can ONLY stop the moon from falling? But not the myriad Leyline disasters? The Moon won't fall but just about every city, structure and place of civilization will perish in the eruptions? The thing is... As long as Mirian survives and people survive, she will be able to rebuilt it all eventually over centuries Perhaps but it will eventually return...

Thank you for the chapter 🙂

I am not sure about Mirian's strategy. A more reliable path seems to be to immediately hunt down Liuan and remove her anchor - this is something she would probably have to do anyway at some point. After that, Liuan would have no choice but to assist Mirian with saving the world in this timeline; otherwise, she would be dead. And with the power of Acana on Mirian's side, others would have to capitulate. I understand that Liuan is taking a lot of effort to hide herself, and probably the Mask has some capabilities that might help her. Still, Miriam earlier claimed that it is easy for her to find a soul that is known for her, and I suspect that circumventing Liuan's precautions is still easier than building the regulator Acana's forces opposing it.

MYZ

It’s a bit unbeliveable she doesn’t understand human nature can have outliers in the distribution by now… A 1 in a million outlier can easily explain betrayal even after so long a time.

Ecthe

Her mind understands, but her heart doesn't.

Mirian definitely is acting like she has a few aces up her sleeve. Maybe she can trigger the return of the prophet needles from Luamin, or maybe her own soul has ascended enough to keep her memories through a loop like elser creatures/titans

Kirvin

Wasn't the regulator built using a ton of manufacturing in Akana? I'm not sure how they can build it in time if there has to be a whole war first.

Leaf

i think she has contingencies to build the regulator even without akanan labor, and i'm sure the regulator has been optimized even further from it's original design. even then it'll be a race against time to build it because of said war...

Shaoraka

Just caught up and damn. I wasn't actually expecting this to be as easy as it looked like it might be for a few chapter but still, Liuan really went there huh. Anyway, thank you for the story, I'm as hooked now as I was 50 chapters in, and it looks like the ending will be just as good so I'm definitely looking forward to it.

“Now she shifted between Desert Flower and Last Breath” should be dusk waves and last breath i think?

she has her soul bound equipment, she made deals with elder beasts and titans, she has a plan with the tree and killed all the war mongers at the start of the cycle by stealing a bit of their brains, she also has her father to help but we have Ibrahim who should have been an ally just flipped and backstabbed her by kidnapping her family (considering its only because if her that he had the option too save his wife), we have 1-2 prophets possibly mind controlled (Celen and Jherica), then we have Liuan doing the mind controlling and Gabriel backstabbing honestly I think Maybe if it turns out some where double agents to help Mirian then great but the Herald needs to punish Liuan, maybe in an endless time loop or some other fitting as well as other failed Prophets who priorities themselves over their literal world, a punishment for effectively pushing humanity closer to extinction, you know sometimes sorry isn't good enough, I can see Gabriel playing the long game to get Liuan to put her guard down, though I also see her seeing though it and killing him (he did kill his evil boss before so a double agent thought process fits him) If Ibrahim is protecting her parents and just making it look like a kidnapping then fine but if not he is everything that was wrong with their world that they tried to fix, so again, he shouldn't just get a slap on the wrist I hope she doesn't get forced into some sacrifice to save the world, she's the only one who qualified to become a herald and still choose to stay back and save the world and be a part of it, that dream should not be stolen from her

Mirian does indeed have a cuirass, only Joseph Anderson stream fans will get this joke
