I love this story so much. I never thought the (presumably) final book would be so engaging, so _thrilling_ page to page!

Choronach

Apo is back! My best guess is that Ibrahim is feigning his "no-sides stakes" and it's one of the contingencies. I really can't see him turning his back on her and spitting on decades of work to save the world. That or Mirian (let's be honest, her genius sociological sciences girlfriend) anticipated Ibrahim's stance and used it for their gains. And Maybe Gabriel's lost his touch when he can't know in advance how people will react and that's the most funny bits of this chapter 😂

Gopard

damn I have no idea how exactly or why and what shit is going on right now... I theoretically LOVE this idea for the final book but... damn does it torture us all to hell and back in a web novel format! 😅😂😂😂😭😭 Thanks for the chapter!

Liuan is betting a lot on Mirian not being angry or petty enough to decide to drag them down with her. If she can’t build the leyline regulator she can still pull their anchors out and leave the fate of humanity up to Ibrahim.

Looking forward to the shocked faces of Miriam’s enemies when they realize she’s taught unexpected people (like her father) how to remove soul anchors. I don’t remember can myrvites cast spells? Apophargorga could be quite the secret weapon if so.

Clifton

I expect that is why she's now in hiding. If Mirian can't find them, she can't nab their needles.

I still don’t understand why Liuan can’t just bomb one of the gates. While some places like Torrviol are very well controlled by Mirian, she and Ziguan can’t protect them all against a well prepared sneak attack, can’t they? But all in all this is so awesome. Seeing Mirian from other perspectives is the only way it still makes sense, we can’t comprehend her master plans anyway :D

gotag

Bombing the gates makes a lot of sense to me, but they are defensible, hard for Liuan to reach all the way south with a sufficient army to mess with Ziguan’s, leviathans and a super soul tree protect another, one is deep below a lake, Palendurio/Alkazaria required massive tunneling to reach them. Torviol might be the most exposed but Miriam defended it by herself the first time without exposing any aces. Liuan/Gabriel probably will focus there fire power on this but they may be waiting till they can attack 3 or more locations at once which is what all that akanan factory production is going for

I only just recently picked up on a great bit of foreshadowing in the past that occurred while Mirian was researching various topics. I don't want to spoil the future surprise for anyone, but I don't think this loop is as it originally seems.

Could you share the chapter the spoiler is in do that I can attend to figure it out

Josh Cothran

The reason Liuan can’t just suicide as a win condition is that the loop doesn’t end when she dies. If Mirian solves the crisis, stabilizes the ley lines, prevents moonfall etc - there’s a chance the loops stop without her removing the anchors. And if not, she would have a LONG time to figure out how to get the anchors from the other moon. She’d be able to temporally anchor herself now that she doesn’t have the loop anchor

I have a great deal of difficulty imagining Ibrahim actually coordinating with the other prophets to take down Miriam, the only other prophet that cares about his people.
