Jason says that he won’t take over the world, but he also once said that he never wanted to see Zara again during volume 3, because he didn’t want a Celestine relationship with a woman who used him. It seems like by the end of this book or volume that Jason will end up taking over the world. Can’t wait for the residuals.

And as I finish the chapter I'll add 1. I appreciate the Anna seems to fully understand(the best she can without seeing other worlds) that Jason is right and has no reason to lie 2. The ending, Jason changing his eyes back to brow for Zara, and her liking his 'real eyes' very sweet, but also more that Jason didn't argue that his new eyes are his real eyes, he is close to fully accepting who is and what he has become. It's so great after almost 1000 chapters

I know Jason can use shade as a shadow jump/portal extension but only at the range of the rank below. But could Jason experience a new far away place through shades eyes and then just portal there? The restriction is that they have to be able to visualize the space they are going to. He could do that through Shade.

It sounds like it's so obviously a dumb thing to say that they aren't even relying on people picking up how many times it has happened and are explicitly stating in the briefing packet not to try to make that argument. Anna's at the point where someone making that argument is enough that she wants them fired immediately.

Its really a tough one. I want to drop that guy on the spot the first time without a moments hesitation and let them find a replacement. For all his Bravado Jason would never leave. Its not in him to leave the world to blow up and kill off all those innocents. His hands are tied to earth until he is certain that the reality cores are no longer a treasure hunt. Then he can leave. He could also invite the entire planet into his universe and anyone that stays is on their own. Either they get their stuff together, planet blows up or World Phoenix steps in, irradiates the entire planet to cauterize the wounds and moves on. Honestly I'd like him to claim the entire earth under his domain. The kids can play all they want, and Jason can simply evaporate anyone going for cores. Easy Peasy.

It’s interesting to me that the Network is still even a thing. Rogue Elements of the Network now include the US, France, Australia (blew up Jason’s plane), India with infighting causing Makassar, the China and Africa during Jason’s walkabout, and now we have Germany and Sweden Network “rogue elements” as well. That whole “you can’t hold the entire Network responsible” line is really starting to become impossible to defend. I am sure I forgot a few countries too, but those are some major world powers. Russia and South America scrape by because they basically belong to the Cabal.

I"m all for him making the entire earth his domain. Even one landmass at a time, or country at a time depending on how much he can cover at Gold rank. Take it over, hear/see everything - eliminate the bad things, move on to the next until the entire planet is scoured clean. He can release the territories as he goes along - only keep the original Asano clan territories. Frankly I think it would be faster, cheaper and less lives lost. Being a God in those domains, Jason can even suspend death, cure all disease, etc Not every action need be death - and seeing all the sick healed in short order..while taking out evil guys behind the scenes...will garner a lot of good will if not worship. I'd go for it.

Quite the opposite. The chapters we saw before where he was spending time with family and friends, and letting himself be with Zara established he has a handle on things. Danielle urged him to do just as he's been doing. We saw that in this chapter she's pleased with how he's acting. Zara just grounded him, and he accepted, and made a joke to her. He recognized he was ready to kill a guy, and instead of killing the guy, Anna had said guy removed. These last few chapters have shown tremendous growth from the entirety of the team. A level of maturity, and Trenchant and Zara capturing the Elizabeth and Marie is icing on the cake. Truly chefs kiss. Trenchant is one of my favorite characters. I'm gonna be sad when he dies.

Yeah, Trenchant is the royal guard who is known as the Siege Sword. Very strong sword artist who guarded that one airship Jason was on during the Monster Surge on a supply run

Yep, and when Shade was overloaded with Reality Core raw mana after draining Jason then transferred the remaining energy to Trenchant. Trenchant said "Oh, that's a bit much!" before jumping off the side of the ship and WWF slamming the side of the mountain. It was glorious.

It's happened more than once. There was a paragraph in book 11 where the bad guy son of the land grab peed himself when Jason got Tara Jun Casta to release her soul. Plus, I don't think Remy is particularly emotionally strong. He's 100% core dependent with only his portals being practiced.

In the real world yes, but in the fictional story, there are more often situations where the value of millions of lives need to be compared to all life in the universe. So sometimes in these series that aspect can be a valid story theme. Not as a moral theme that it's right but whether it is right. Its like the trolley problem

Couldn't shade , Jason, and Belinda disable most nukes ? 100 shades spread out across all known missile silos in europe (belinda could likely steal the info) , Jason jumps to shade , bleninda pops out , they snatch or disarm the nuke with their gold rank storage spaces? He was stuffing cars in it at bronze and segments of submarines at silver, the warhead portion of a nuke should fit at gold. It might not get all the nukes, but it would be a good start. I feel like Jason should work more on developing his soft power though, aide programs , outreach programs, magical education, online ritual magic lessons, maybe even just a reboot of Erica's cooking show . Danielle is absolutely correct , and Jason should get ahead of the shift instead of trying to be another secret magical hegemon, he could be full on willy Wonka with magical confections served out of a massive magical world fair cloud palace. He needs to develop a public image if he's gonna be a public figure. A benevolent willy Wonka would let him indulge in absudities.

The worry with the nukes is that the vampires have moved them, and/or there are hidden nuclear weapons from countries or organizations that weren’t known to the governments assisting in the effort. In either case they may not have the location of the nukes to deal with them. I was wondering if they had power sets that could shoot them down safely mid air but realized the vampires could sneak them in and detonate them in cities without launching them. This would be less destructive but still result in more losses than Jason is willing to just accept.

Like I said, Elizabeth's done as main villain. It's not surprising, her downfall has been getting telegraphed for a while. My current guess is Jason is going to try to un-psychopath Elizabeth via the effects of his universe. If it works she may be amenable to just giving up what she knows, now that she's not a complete monster.

Yeah, he doesn't need to be perfect. Knowing when to step back, and how to express respect by way of "okay, I'm no longer being helpful" is really good. Also, "I'm going to assume you did not read the briefing" is a perfect professional insult at a spook meeting. Figuring out diplomats' triggers and pet peeves is a huge part of their job.

I went back and read it and I think you're right because it mentions Farrah which would imply it means to people there directly teaching the earthlings. So even though it's Roland's techniques the teacher is still Rufus.
