Project Update!

(Yes, I did post this earlier, and yes, I deleted it. I forgot to update the Patreon names list at the end of the video, and took the last video down as soon as I realized it.)

Next time, I suggest you upload the replacement and update before you remove the old one. I was in the middle of watching when it got pulled.

Ted Liljenquist

Robert, I sent you a message on here. I would love to help with the laser cut parts for your projects, I’m pretty sure I can get a better price and turnaround than anybody else. Big fan, would love to help.

Lump Beefbroth

Fittingly enough when watching the previous upload the video got cut off the second the wheels began to spin towards the end.

"and they were unnecessarily rude to me!" haha it's odd how people that want your money behave sometimes! (also sometimes people that GIVE you money) welcome to the year 2025!

Vegasguy

No motivation? If what you're doing constitutes no motivation I can't imagine what people would think of me! I can barely watch a video without saying it's too difficult, I'll just go back to bed!

Peter

Perhaps I'm paranoid when I comes to batteries, but if it were me all those hybrid batteries would already be in battery gaol and I would definitely go with the more (hopefully) long term reliable Tesla packs.

agingwheels

This is 100% missing the point, but I was so thrown off by the British spelling of jail. And yes, I agree. I don't know if I mentioned it in the video, but Tesla modules are significantly easier to mount too

Mark Mina

Ahhh exciting to see! I hope you are having a good day!

Xyon of Calhoun

I want you to know this spelling is archaic, we don't still spell it like this here either lol

Peter

Yeah it's also outdated in Australia too, it's standardised to jail, but it lingered longer here than in the UK I believe. I don't use it that often so I kind of automatically revert to the way I was taught in school. I should probably modernise myself haha.

man, i have ADHD and i totally get the "Stalled Project Syndrome." i'll be super passionate and gung-ho about whatever im working on, then suddenly some random, totally unexpected snag will totally derail everything for months or even years at a time. my worst offense (to date) is starting a bathroom renovation, getting hung up on vintage toilet flanges, then closing the door to the bathroom and pretending it didnt exist... FOR TWELVE YEARS. i finished the bathroom in a mad rush right before i sold the house and never got to enjoy it myself. you're welcome, new homeowners. smh.

agingwheels

Guess who else has an unfinished bathroom renovation project that's been stalled for multiple years 🙃

Erin C

I relate to this. Guest: “why is there a hole in your kitchen ceiling?” Me: “oh, that’s because the toilet upstairs was leaking. I’m going to redo the kitchen at some point…” 🙃 7 years later: still not done. Maybe this year? 🤷‍♀️

HenchmanHenk

my kitchen has had a flexi pipe crudely shoved in a hole in the ceiling from the cooking hood for dang near 10 years. next to it dangles a switch on a conduit from the same ceiling that was in the wall that used to be there, 10 years ago. It is there because than i feel less bad about all the threaded inserts that hold my way too ambitious lighting project, if it were finished on time. 4 years ago. we've all been there, most of us have a holiday home there.

Garrett Cyr

Glad to see an update on this project! Excited to see additional progress as you continue to work on it without burning yourself out

Evan Hartmann

You know, I watched someone make a power bank, with a bunch of vape batteries maybe you should just do that

Chris Horry

Can't wait to see how this progresses, but I totally understand your lack of motivation on this one. I would have parked the thing at the junk yard with a little bow on it long before now.

Frank Pauze

I thought souping up the Escape wad in service of the school bus project but the bus is gone and the Escape stumbles ahead. Gaol.

Aaron Bygrave

Video idea: EXPLODE BATTERY JAIL WITH ANGRY MODULE. You're welcome.

Aaron Bygrave

I've got a car with a sticky valve in my garage for the last 8 months becasue I lost motiviation to fix it. So I bought a Tesla Model 3 SR+. Best lazy ever.

Miles

Hey Robert, love the projects and am excited to see them completed. Since the recall of the batteries was issued, there might be another option for batteries. The "Electric Supercar" channel is using brand new modules in their project that they might be able to supply to you. He even stated to a commenter that he could help get them for new customers.
