I feel ok about this outcome. It feels strange to have the previously put together fundies act so rashly but its kindoff in line for extremists during a collapse of their power. They're lashing out because they cant hurt the people they hate through the system anymore.

At first I though this was Nestra musing about how she would settle her with the more logistics-adjacent personnel of her operation before agreeing, as a bit behind the front lines would be better suited for an, up until recently, pacifist healer (with gas <=> gasoline, so gas division <=> metaphor for those keeping the frontline units fuelled up?). But it's not really clear who says the line and you're right, it could just as well be sylvie, speaking about whatever their health- and biochem-company is secretly concocting in the basement.
