Time for Peak & Breakfast Hmm... the Dub said Kirio reverts to her former self.. but I think Kubo said that's not the case right? -- Nevermind I misinterpreted it. I swear some of yall have these posts pre-written.

BLEACH #SundayRundown Thanks for the shout out during the opening. Here's another deep cut from a previous reaction. Chris unironically called what Unohana did back in episode 53. When he said and I quote, "Kenny's the kind of person who knows field medicine just to help revive you to whoop your ass again." That is literally what she's been doing in this fight, Unohana learned field medicine specifically for battle. However, in this instance, she's using it to revive Kenny because she understood that he powers up like a saiyan. I remember catching that at the time and laughed at the coincidence. Spoilerman has done it again. Also, as it was mentioned in the discord, we cannot believe that none of you caught on that Kenny's lieutenant was named after Unohana. If you can recall from the soul society arc, he named her after the person he respects the most. In an interview before this arc in the manga, Kubo said that he was gonna reveal her namesake, which turned out to be the 1st Kenpachi, Yachiru Unohana. Love how in awe you guys have been throughout this arc, inshallah you keep that energy. And as requested before, please at least consider to double drop episodes 11 and 12. Even if you won't be able to, you'll know why I had to ask when you get there.

#SundayRundown: Bleach In Episode 40, after Zaraki’s battle with Ichigo, he has a flashback where he recalls his first time meeting his lieutenant. He told her he’s naming her after the only person he ever admired, Yachiru. Did you ever imagine that person could be the Captain of the Healing Squad? Now you guys know why everyone is so scared of her, and wasn’t really a running gag. 😅

Mission Terminal

#SundayRundown #Bleach Two things to note for this episode: 1) Zanjutsu is just what the soul reapers call fighting with a Zanpakuto 2) Until this episode Unohana has been called "Unohana Retsu", but in this episode she is referred to as "Unohana Yachiru." Way back in the soul society arc it's mentioned that Kenpachi named his pink-haired lieutenant, Yachiru, after someone from the past that he admired.

Nickevans21

#sundayrundown I know y’all are ahead but in this episode, Unohana is not using a genjustu, she’s actually killing him and bringing him back over and over again which is insane. One of the craziest fights of the series to me still.

Brian

"YOUnohana" hurts to hear. Dubbed keeps skipping lore to make what theyre saying fit the mouth movements

Adan Guzman

#SunndayRundown - Bleach Zaraki is the 11th Kenpachi and he did indeed kill the previous 10th Kenpachi who was known as Kenpachi Kiganjo who was the Kenpachi during Turn Back The Pendullum flashback, although we never saw him. Zaraki apparently easily killed him to become Captain. Sometime after becoming a healer, Unohana relinquished her position and title as Kenpachi which is how 10 successors came after her.

Conflictor

#SundayRundown Bleach TYBW This was a truth bombshell and a half. Throughout the series Unohana was foreshadowed a few times despite her gentle personality and maternal figure of soul society. 1. Her braided hairstyle that she’s always wore at the front of her chest was to cover her scar. 2. The name Yachiru was revealed for the little pink haired Lieutenant that’s always with Kenpachi after his fight with Ichigo as he reminisced about when they met in a flashback and he only admired a woman that he named her after. 3. She was the only one who saw through Aizen’s hypnosis and that he gave credit to for doing so back in soul society, fleeing from her knowing that if he fought her it would’ve been trouble, a death match for him. 4. Back in Hueco Mundo, the clean up squad of hollow soldiers known as the Exequias fled from her instead of putting up a fight knowing they didn’t stand a chance. 5. Shunsui and Ukitake as senior captains were shown being scared of/creeped out by her in the turn back the pendulum/Vizard flashback arc, as well as others being nervously afraid when she makes an eerie serious smile, which was only meant to be seen as a gag initially. 6. She’s the 2nd oldest after Yama and last remaining member of the OG 13 court guard squads just recently revealed. Needless to say it was a plot twist and a half that was subtly built up as a lady of the sword and a great character that just happens to be a woman: A Blood Prime Death Goddess. Fun Fact: Unohana is one of the very few female characters with no fan service, that is beneath her. An Epitome of a woman above men, the kind that makes the best out of them, just like Krista Sudmalis who invented the GigaChad. Lastly This this is why the series is called BLEACH 1. The abstract nature of Black & White in opposite places of each other, such as Yin & Yang for Ex: Soul reapers in black and all the enemies always in white, opposite of traditional stances. 2. Bleaching/cleansing the souls of hollows. 3. Ichigo's mixed ancestry. 4. Kubo originally wanted to call it “Black” but his editor said that wouldn’t be allowed, so he called it by his favorite band Nirvana album “Bleach” as a another word for White, as in the Hollow Ichigo. And 5. Regarding episode 302 that you just recently had posted on YouTube, Fun Fact: Just like the light & darkness balance of Yin & Yang: White Zangetsu as “Hollow Ichigo” & Tensa Zangetsu as “Black Slaying Moon Bankai” when merged together they become the manifestation of “BLEACH” itself. Sidenote: Zanjutsu = Swordsmanship, which was revealed and broken down by me with the better translations than the Reddit ones (which you need a deeper understanding of both Japanese and Bleach to get instead of my more comprehensively easier ones) in Episode 1’s Keyword page. I just reveal drop them corresponding to what you post to avoid spoilers. You’ll have only me to rely on for the finale that is Cour 4.

Bleach TYBW Episode 9 THE DROP Keyword Page 1: Kirinden  (Qilin Palace) "A castle under the control of the squad zero division’s ‘Hot Springs Demon’ Tenjirō Kirinji. There is a huge bathhouse at the center of it, where Kirinji's ‘ritual’ is to undergo a hot-spring cure, whereby submerging oneself in White Bone Hell where damaged spiritual pressure is drained along with blood, and Blood Pond Hell where new blood and spiritual pressure are replenished. As such, the blood and spiritual pressure in one's body are completely replaced, and they recover at an extraordinary speed. Those whose original spiritual pressure is not strong enough must wear a protective bathrobe woven from super-spiritual threads to prevent their bodies from rotting and rupturing due to ‘over-recovery’ when immersed in the hot springs. Also, in the White Bone Hell, a special hand towel must be kept on the head at all times, otherwise the core of the spiritual pressure will leak out and the person will perish. In the secret training ground that Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihōin once created deep underground in the Sōkyoku (Execution Instruments) Hill, there is a hot spring that speeds up the recovery of wounds, modeled after the hot spring in Kirinden made to imitate it.” Episode 9 Keyword Page 2: Gatonden (Lying Pig Palace) "This is a palace of food, the castle of Squad Zero’s ‘King of Grain’ Kirio Hikifune. Three giant towers are connected inside, with a central dining table, a kitchen with a tiered stove that spews flames, and a refrigerator room with a huge wooden ice box, all separated by curtains. In Hikifune's ‘ritual’, which created the concept of the ‘Gikon’ ('Artificial souls'), a person's Reiryoku (Spiritual Power) is raised by taking a completely different Reiatsu (Spiritual Pressure) into their body through food, and having foreign Reiatsu reside in their body. Incidentally, her food is perfect in taste, texture and aroma, but very occasionally there are ingredients mixed in that look questionable, making you hold your hand for a moment. Furthermore, the cook, Hikifune herself, uses up all her spiritual pressure by the time she finishes cooking a dessert, so her body shape changes drastically back into a more natural, well endowed figure."

#SundayRundown: Bleach Before Kubo wrote TYBW, one of his plans he mentioned for the arc was that he wanted to draw Unohana with her hair down. As you can imagine, nobody understood the significance of that line at the time. Such a little design change not only made her so much scarier and revealed her true nature but also revealed the scar she was covering between her collarbone. Kubo also said recently that one day he wants to draw Unohana meeting Yamamoto for the first time.

Adan Guzman

I was also gonna write the hints to Unohana but you beat me to it and honestly looks better written than I would’ve anyway. I like the way you write.

Christian R Lewis-Batista

#SundayRundown #Bleach Yes, the revelation that Unohana was the first Kenpachi was a big thing during the weekly manga days. With this revelation, we got her other name before changing it, Yachiru. Which means One thousand styles because she learned over One Thousand different styles of sword play. Additionally with the revelation of her name, we find out that Yachiru, Zarakis lieutenant, is named after Unohana because Zaraki admired her so much. If you want, I would suggest looking up Kubos original drawings of Unohanas faces she makes in the manga after being exposed as the original Kenpachi. While creepy and haunting in the anime, Kubos shading and the manga pages really give her so much more of a haunting vibe. Also bot genjutsu. Nobody has illusionary powers other than shinji and Aizen, and shinji only inverts directions. So she is bringing him on the verge of death and healing him. But this shows her skill as she was able to heal him and get his sword back his hand before he noticed. And Zaraki is the 11th Kenpachi. He did in fact kill the 10th one for the captain seat

MORE PEAK LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO. Watching your reactions to these batch of episodes is making me relive my own hype when I watched them all over again. Episode 10 is a very strong contender for my favourite episode from part 1 (only really rivaled by episode 6). I cannot wait for next week!

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

#SundayRundown #Bleach Unohana's name. Retsu = "Violent" or "Fierce" Yachiru = "Eight thousand flows" to signify her mastery of many sword techniques. Also the Kenpachi that Zaraki fought wasn't Unohana. Zaraki is the 11th "Kenpachi". Zaraki even said am I gonna die having never defeated you.

penguin299

#SundayRundown It's fleshed out more in the filler episodes but it's a running gag that everyone is TERRIFIED of Unohana. Shunsui does make a passing remark during the Turn Back the Pendulum arc that Unohana is the oldest captain other than Yamamoto. It's never explained why (and generally just chalked up to her being one of the older captains) but especially Ukitake and Shunsui (the ones old enough to know better) are always scared shitless of her. Now we know why.

Did they skip 8 I'm not finding it with the tags I guess it could be untagged gonna go check

#SundayRundown Bleach A few details about Hikifune. If you don’t remember she was the Captain of squad 12 that Urahara replaced in the Pendulum arc; she was close to Hiyori and new Shinji. Also, she is shown to had been some form of researcher but if you remember there was no R&D department before Urahara. Kubo clarified in a recent post that many scientists formed their own research groups in secret to perform “questionable” experiments. The leader of that group was Senjumaru and Mayuri was a part of it, that is why they know each other. Also, there was a censored panel of Rukia’s ass in the hot springs, Ichigo even made a comment of her showing her peach. I’m also curious to see your reactions to Oetsu, he’s one of my favorite characters so I hope you enjoy his addition.

Xonok

The uncut of episode 8 is there posted in January 29, but only the uncut version. I don't know what happened to the post with the edited version in Youtube. I remenber watching it at some point last week. The tag is set to Bleach.

#SundayRundown. Back when Aizen messed Toshiro up during his first reveal when he murdered Cental unit and then hurt Toshiro, Unohana came and Aizen didnt mess with her because he knew he and Gin would be injured too. Also one of Aizen hollow guards didnt fight unohana(the one with skull mask) because he had info from Aizen about Unohana. She was foreshadowed a lot of times and never really showed herself. This shows that a lot of captains are also hiding their powers and are not fully developed because of lack of training because of which Ryoka group succeeded.

Morgan Le Fay

I’m 90% sure I remember eager people leaving sus comments about this when Unohana was introduced during the Soul Society arc. They couldn’t hold in the hype unfortunately.

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN BLEACH I'm so glad ya'll are starting to see how everything in Bleach is being pieced together like a puzzle, that's how Kubo writes. This is why we love Bleach because the more you read/ view it the more little things you discover. Kubo himself stated you need to re read it and use some deduction or you'll never piece everything together. I'm 100% sure when ya'll re read Bleach you'll find subtle foreshadowings, and a bunch of stuff you missed or haven't seen Unohana being Kenpachi was one of MANY things foreshadowed throughout Bleach, I think other people have already listed the foreshadowings Unohana's other name, Yachiru, the same name Zaraki gave to his Lieutenant when he found her. If you go back to that scene, he said it's the name of someone he admired as we see Yachiru touching his sword. Crazy right? (Unohana's fake name was even a Hint "Retsu" means Violent in Japanese) Kubo has stated on Klub outside that he has an entire backstory for Unohana, he just hasn't found a place to show it It's cool to see the politics with Shunsui. You can see a stark difference between them. Yama simply upheld the law, as long as peace was the goal he didn't care much...but Shunsui is different, more experimental, and he's willing to do things that Yama would never do (While Shunsui isn't one to seek out conflict he is very sinister once it starts. We saw this with Starkk and how Shunsui fights, he cares little about playing dirty and will do whatever needs to be done.)

Tristan Harley

SUNDAY RUNDOWN: There have actually been many hints to Unohana's true status throughout the series. - When she confronts Aizen right after he's stabbed Hinamori and defeated Hitsugaya, Aizen teleports to Rukia, telling Unohana that he would prefer not to fight her. - We see that the men of Squad 11 (Kenny's squad) are very scared of her. - In the Vizard flashback arc, Shunsui and Ukitake comment on how Unohana is one of the few to have survived being a captain for over a 100 years. - When she arrives in Heuco Mundo, the Skull Tree Hollow see's and recognizes her, and chooses to run away rather than fight. Note: We know that Zaraki is the 11th Kenpachi. Meaning there were 10 Kenpachi's in between him and the 1st - Unohana. We learn that Unohana's true name is Yachiru Unohana. Kenny's lieutenant is also named Yachiru. Now remember, way back when Kenny fought Ichigo, Yachiru had a flashback about how she met Kenny. She was just a toddler, and when she touched his blade, he decided to name her. This is what Kenny said: "I will name you Yachiru. It's the name of the only woman I've ever admired." So we know that this has been planned from the start. Finally, Navi seems to think that people lose their memories when they go to Soul Society. They don't. Rukia was a baby when she and her sister died, so the Soul Society was all she ever knew. Put simply, here's how it works. When a human dies, they will either: Go to Soul Society. Go to Hell (If they were evil in life. Like dropping the remote evil. #NeverForget) Become a hollow (If they had a lot of pain and attachment, or get eaten by other hollows.) They do not forget anything, regardless of where they go.

PacoTaco

Rukia was a baby when she died in the Living World along with her order sister . As for Renji i don't remember if he was already born In Soul Society or not

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN BLEACH i think one of my favorite things about Unohana is that in ever thing Kubo draws of her all her outfits has her chest cover hiding her scar and to commemorating the release of episode 376 Kubo drew this art of Unohana in normal clothing https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/6/69/KUBOUnohana.png/revision/latest?cb=20230817023217&path-prefix=en here some of the art for the mobile game https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/f/f9/BBSMachine_Society_Unohana.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20210226221203&path-prefix=en https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/9/95/BBSSwimsuit_Unohana.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20210703163230&path-prefix=en also the more follow BLEACH the more i call bullshit on Nail having the biggest chest cuz there are like 5 characters that have a bigger chest and 4 more them are Orihime and the other Hikifune

#SundayRundown And alas, we finally get the Yachiru Unohana as the “First Kenpachi” reveal. This is definitely one of the greatest reveals in the story, and it came with its fair bit of easily missable foreshadowing: Back in the day, Kubo would write these Data books for Bleach that either give a bit of extra lore or point out some fun facts about the characters. On Data book #1 (i think this came out in 2007, think about how crazy that is) this is some of what he wrote for Unohana: “Despite her gentle appearance, her speciality is Kendo (Sword Fighting)”. In the same data book, Kubo rated her “Attack” stat to be a perfect 100/100, which was obviously confusing for the readers at the time. He also wrote the following: “She rarely fights on the front lines, but her fighting ability is first rate! When angered, she might be the scariest captain of them all….” Another instance of foreshadowing was when Kenny met Yachiru (little pink haired one) for the first time. He asked for her name and she did not reply. So, he decided to bestow her with the name of the person he respected most: “Yachiru” (8-Thousand Styles). Additionally, the name that Unohana was going by for most of the story “Retsu” literally means dangerous. There have been more instances of foreshadowing, but I don’t want to make my comment an essay on Kubology, so i’ll save some of those for ep 10 next week. PS: shoutout to you guys for allowing extra time in SR for Bleach, much appreciated!

Wasn’t it Ichigo that punched Tenjiro’s hand?

#SundayRundown Bleach Ok as someone who speaks a little japanese I want to correct the person who shared the meaning of the name Ichigo and educate everyone on what his name actually means for how it is spelled. The kanji for ichigo as in "strawberry" is: 莓. There is association to our beloved protagonist due to his hair color and infamous manga title "Death of the strawberry", but it is not the meaning of his name. The kana character for ichigo as in the number "15" is: 一五. 一 is ichi (one), 五 is go (5). While the series starts when Ichigo is age 15, his birthday is also July 15 (also my b-day) it is NOT the meaning of Ichigo's name. Finally, we get to the kanji that is actually used to spell the main character's name. The kanji for Ichigo as in "one to protect/defend" is: 一護 That is how we know the meaning of his name, by seeing which kanji for ichigo is used that refers to the main character of Bleach. Essentially his name means the one who protects. If you look up ichigo's character wiki, profiles, you will see they use 一護 to refer to him. They aren't using 莓 (strawberry) to spell his name, nor are they using 一五 (15) to spell his name either.

Nabeshin

Immaculate explanation...but you got 1 thing wrong. Unohana is VERY MUCH in the beach episode; which is VERY MUCH in the manga. 😉

Conflictor

That was a filler episode my guy, so no, it was not in the manga at all.

Nabeshin

#SundayRundown #BLEACH Since everyone's talking about the "Kenpachi" thing, I'll pose a question, to anyone who reads, INCLUDING Normies: What did you think about the "one-of-them-must-die" thing? As enthralled and hyped as I was when I got to this part in the manga, I was also upset. "One must die?...WHY THOUGH???" Why would you willingly sacrifice the number 1 healer, in order to make big strong man even bigger and stronger?" My thought process went like this: "Ichigo is gonna' kill Yhwach. That's just the way it is, we all know it. We have SEVERAL other important characters who's powers we've never seen. They're all individually going to need a chance to shine. Not to mention the other 3 that went with Ichigo (Rukia, Byakuya, Renji) are obviously going to become godlike as well, so like...I DO want to see Kenny become the ultimate of ultimates; more ultimate than the ultimate you can ever even conceive of the ultimateness...but if he's not going to kill ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE, including Yhwach himself (which obviously isn't happening), then what's the point? Especially when you're sacrificing the ULTIMATE HEALER, who no one can replace, for a guy who's...what. Going to fight one or two really strong people after this - none of them being Yhwach - and that's it?" Again, this is what I thought AT THIS POINT IN THE STORY, when the manga got to this chapter. Not gonna' say what I thought later on. What do you think though? BONUS: Kenny killing the 10th Kenpachi is one of those mysterious backstories that they decided to delve into in the filler. In the Bount arc, there's a shinigami defector who joins the vampires because of how much he hates the whole "Kenpachi" thing, and how his squad (11) changed after Kenny killed his captain. His name's Maki Ichinose. His sword has rainbow powers. It's actually kinda' cool. 😛

Where's the regular reaction?

Arctic_stark

The incredible thing is, if you go back and watch Bleach from the very beginning and note every appearance of Unohana, things will make a lot of sense. Like when Aizen reveals himself in the Soul Society Arc, he decides to kill Toshiro but doesnt engage with Unohana. And why every character that encounters Unohana seems straight up terrified, even in the case of Ichigo who had no idea about her history but felt something was off about her during the Arrancar Arc. The other thing I really like about Unohana is that she isnt redeemed, she isnt a completely different person now. You see during this reveal that she is still bloodthirsty and violent, but just keeps herself in check. #Sundayrundown

iman

Makes you question why those Squad 11 grunts hated squad 4 so much and couldn't care less that Hanataro was held hostage back in the soul society arc, as well as their attitude after getting healed. Though I guess that was a roundabout way for Kubo to show us that she is a force to be reckoned with.

Abhi KP

I would also recommend checking out the sub version for some of the lines between Unohana and Kenny. It hits harder and the switch between the previous 'healer' and the revealed 'kenpachi' Unohana make it even more unsettling.

Art Francis Oliva

She kept killing Zaraki in this battle and just keep bringing him back to life

Shockzz1234

Tbf part of your thinking there comes from a meta sense of knowing it's a story and knowing Ichigo is gonna (probably) defeat Yhwach. The characters in the story don't know that, so they need to get stronger by any means necessary. But i do agree sacrificing your number one healer to make Zaraki stronger does seems a bit....of a risk lol. Maybe they're that confident in Isane stepping up. Or they're that confident that Zaraki will become insanely strong - maybe they DO think he'd clean house? Again, it's not like they know it's a story lol.

penguin299

#SundayRundown Since they're still wondering why it's called Bleach... this is the true reason: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/79/29/76/7929768f48d92e4ab60d56a815be5b8c.jpg

I don't use this term very often, or at all really, but this comment is goated. See it's stuff like this that make me miss fan subs. You'd oftentimes get little translator's notes about japanese culture or naming conventions or puns that didn't translate super well into English, etc. I distinctly remember this fact being one of the translator's notes.

#Bleach #SundayRundown So here are a few things, 1st) Chris is right Captain Unohana is actually Killing Kenpachi and bring him back to life. 2nd) Unohana real strength has been hinted to through out the series as multiple people have been terrified of angering her this includes Ukitake, Shunsui and even Aizen all extremely string captians. 3rd) it was revealed in the Soul Society Arc that Kenpachi named his now Vice Captain Yachiru after finding her as a baby and he named her after someone he admired. Yachiru is the name Unohana was lived by for many years and as this ep now revealed her real name is actually Retsu Unohana.

Nabeshin

It's true. I was thinking metatextually, and worrying that I was going to be disappointed that we go through all this, and sacrifice an entire character, just so Kenpachi can fight a couple super strong people and that's it. However, in a NON-meta sense, it hasn't been established at this point that Isane could ever adequately replace Unohana, and the only other significant healer we've been shown is Hanataro. 😆 Kenny may be the strongest of the strong, but "big strong dude" is still all that he is; as opposed to the greatest healer they've got. To me - again only talking at this point in the story - it seemed as ridiculous to trade Unohana for Kenpachi as it would be to trade Kurotsuchi for Kenpachi.

Annah Suarez-Domit

#Sunday Rundown So some fun facts and clarifications. So Unahana is the first Kenpachi and Zaraki is the eleventh so there are nine other Kenpachi in between them. The one before Kenpachi got some mentions in the Turn Back the Pendulum arc and I can’t remember if he actually appeared on screen in the anime. Unohana being a Kenpachi is also a prominent fan theory similar to Ichigo being a Quincy. This also heavily comes from the filler arcs where her recurring joke was that she was utterly terrifying and nobody would mess with her. Lastly about Hikifune making the mod souls fun fact it makes a certain filler arc extra non canon. In the Bount Arc we meet the creator of the Mod Souls. Obviously TYBW has higher priority than the Bount arc so Hikifune comes out the winner. There are some fun fan theories though about how both can be true however I don’t think I can explain them concisely and properly.

Kayso

Remember the Aizen reveal of him being a villain and he was talking to Unohana and Isane? Him and Gin eventually left. Aizen didn't want no smoke with Unohana. 😂 She kinda been on the back burner before now, knowing little about her other than she heals. It's even been teased this whole time that she's a beast, people in the soul society scared of her, even the captains and lieutenant. Now we see she a savage, this episode gave me chills. Like the other comments are saying, Kenpachi's lieutenant name is Yachiru. The small pink haired girl. Notice he named her after someone he admired, Yachiru Unohana. Shout out to Shunsui taking over the reigns for Squad 1. Due to the MC eating a lot of food/loving food trope, it's interesting to see Ichigo eat this much since we never really seen that before TYBW lol.

Unstablebeast

#sundayrundown Guys, shunsui literally beat stark by forgoing honor and stabbing him in the back XD

Ginzo

I think it's a cop out that one of the strongest known characters in the show so far never really fights. And when we finally get to see her in action, she's written to die to Kenpachi. And yes, I understand that she is the "healer," but shounen fights are won by offense. Making her the healer was just an excuse (a good excuse) for regulating her to the sidelines until this big reveal. On the flip side, I think Unohana being a badass is one of things that Kubo managed to foreshadow really well. There were a lot of hints throughout the show that she was a serious threat. This isn't a critique of the writing, but I think it's dumb that Unohana has to die. Soul Society is on the brink of annihilation and they're fine with letting one of their strongest offensive and defensive assets die because of tradition.

accelangel

its these episodes where we really wish you guys watched this show in sub, the japanese VA is something else

Shenahatsu Kyjiin

[Tidbits & Clarifications][Lotta Reading] - It was removed from the last episode but you learn that the springs that Urahara created are based on Tenjiros (Like the Spring we saw when Yoruichi revealed her human form that Ichigo was recovering in) -Unohana being a Kenpachi was heavily foreshadowed throughout the entire series, it's the reason why squad 11 members were so afraid of her, It's why Aizen knew she'd catch on to his lie, and why even Captains like Shunsui and Ukitake feared her. (Another cool bit is that Aizen tried to seal Kenpachi in Hueco Mundo to avoid them until he was immortal) -This is our 1st time hearing Unohana's other name, which is Yachiru, the same name Zaraki gave to his Lieutenant when he found her. If you go back to that scene, Kenpachi said it's the name of someone he admired. (Unohana's fake name was even a Hint "Retsu" means Violent in Japanese) -Buff Kon was another comedy bit removed from the last episode, so it may feel a bit random here. - Given Kirio's words before they left her Palace, we now know that every Squad 0 member has done something that hugely affects how the Soul Society operates. Kirio made Gikon or Artificial Souls, and she says Ouetsu Made Zanpaktou, it's cool to wonder what the others invented. - Kubo has stated on Klub outside that he has an entire backstory for Unohana, he just hasn't found a place to show it. Additionally, we recently learned that Aizen chose not to fight her when he was leaving because basically it'd be annoying or troublesome to deal with. -It's cool to see the politics with Shunsui, it shows a stark difference between him and Yama. Yama simply upheld the law, as long as peace was the goal he honestly didn't care much...but Shunsui is a bit different, more experimental, and he's willing to do things that Yama would never do. (Also it's important to remember that while Shunsui isn't one to seek out conflict he is very sinister once it starts. We saw this with Starkk and how Shunsui fights, he cares little about playing dirty and will do whatever needs to be done.) #sundayrundown [Reposted]

The Kenpachi who Kenny killed is mentioned as being a drunken dick in the context of the captain meeting about Hikifune getting promoted. This is given as a gripe when he doesn't bother to show up to the meeting.

Omg! How did I just realize Unohana has the same VA as Sakura from Naruto, and CC from Code Geass?!
