Should have zoomed in some more for the preview image. Oh, well, enjoy the scenery, I guess.
I went for a green colour for the slug, just so it fits the swamp more and it won't go invisible on the brown ground if i'd go for brown. The swamp section will be the area it will be found the most, but it can also be anywhere else around the Deep Forest.
The slug has some unique quirks in multiple areas. For one it only has a side view. When I worked on the perspectives it was weird to see the slug turning to front/back view and loosing like 80% of it's body lenght suddenly. Do you know what i mean? So I just made it stay in side view.
It's also the slowest creature out there. Sonja can dodge it easily, but it might get critical if it follows her into narrow spaces, since Sonja must walk around it to not get hit, cause it damages her by touching.
Another cool thing is that the Slug is the first that uses a shader. Something I wanted to make use of in my new game, but the Slug was a good oppurtunity to make use of the stuff that I learned a while ago. Like with the swamp water in the background.
The shader just makes it look more slimy.
After I finished working on the Slug I worked on eggs. The face grabbers and the slug are now able to lay them into... well, now they can :D
Additionally I checked some mechanics about the egg laying part, and fixed an issue where Sonja got duplicated when picking up ingredients when egg laying triggered.
There should be more issues revolving about that, but I sadly can't recreate them, so I rather did a shot in the blue. Maybe I fixed something with that.

Doppelgänger should get done in time as well.
