This is how the next enemy lineup will look like!

Lesser: 

  • Boars (pig essence)
  • Unicorns (fey essence) 
  • (small) Face Huggers (eldritch essence) 
  • Rats (rodent essence)
  • Slugs (slime essence)

Elite: 

  • Centaurs (fey essence)

Trap: 

  • Snakes (reptile essence) 

Gamble trap: 

  • Satyrs (fey essence)

Now to the explenation of this setup:
The polls resulted in 7 enemies, which is 1 to much. In every location there are 6 enemies and I'd like to stay consistent. 5 lesser enemies and 1 elite (forest has 4 lesser and 2 elite, but 6 in total).

For that reason I moved 1 enemy into the gamble trap section. The enemies that had the most potential for that was the Unicorn and the Satyr. I ended up with the Satyr, cause I like the idea of that dude sitting on a tree stump, playing the flute. Since he's a smart guy, Sonja will be able to talk to him, exactly how she does to the lindworm.

6 Enemies were left, which meant that one of them had to be an elite. The options were Satyr and Centaur. Both had potential, but I felt that the Centaur would have more interesting things to say during essence collection. Also this has 1 horse-like enemy as a lesser and 1 as a elite, which seems fair.

The essence drops have been solved as well. There is only 1 enemy that drops pig essence, but I have a nice way to deal with that, which will be a surprise.

As you can see 1 trap and 1 gmble trap is missing. I will figure them out later.

Since there is a lot to work on I need to find out what I wanna add into this version. Cause I probably have to split it up into 2 ones, like with the cave.
I will work on it and see how long I need. This time I wanna add 2 h-animations to the enemies from the beginning. The elite enemy will take the most time. Not sure if I wanna add him this version.
I'll just continue working and see how far I get. If you're okay with waiting longer, I can do it all in one go. But this will take a bit...

New kinds of potions and ingredients I also need to think of. But this can wait. I wanna do the enemies first.

Once I'm done with building the map, you will hear from me again. When I start working on the enemies I will share a preview for each one. Btw the face huggers won't be real face huggers, I will change their design. To prevent legal issues, I guess.

Very happy with the lineup! For a gamble trap, maybe you can add a spell tome that either grants you, lets say double drops from enemies, double collection of ingredients, or it spawns a mess of tentacles (maybe squid-like with barbed tips?) that violate you.

I'll be happy whether the update is split up or released all at once later. One way we don't have to wait as long to see some of the additions but the other way we'll get a whole bunch of new things to check out all at once, sounds like a win either way.
